Joey's — Restaurant in Town of Rye

I used to like to have lunch there, the food is super delicious and Joey speaks Portuguese like me, since I am from Brazil and he's from Portugal. But last time I went there, this summer, I got very disappointed. My daughter and I walked for some minutes in a very hot day only to get there. So, as soon as we got in, Joey - who was talking to somebody else at the moment, greeted us very kindly, at first. We sat down and the waitress came, and we commented that I'd like to talk to Joey later. So, the lady looked a kind desperate saying SHE could take our order, she also asked if we were able to speak Spanish, so we said both Spanish or English works. So, we said we wouldn't bother his conversation, we were just commenting that we know him, and we knew she was going to take our order and it was fine. So, I picked the meal I always do, my daughter was a kind confused about the new menu, so she wasn't sure if the meal she likes it was the same. So, the waitress came back to the bar saying she was going to ask Joey about that, and many, many minutes passed... She never came back or even Joey to ask us anything. He was passing by our table, like twice, and only talking and giving attention to people at the bar (people very noisy, by the way), and completely ignored us there. When the lady finally came, she asked us if Joey came to talk to us and we said: Not at all. She just made a sad face... So, we decided to pay for our soda and leave. Hoping we never come back to be...

JOEY'S SPORTS BAR & GRILL IS THE NEWSEST MUSIC VENUE IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. THE OWNER, JOEY IS CHARISMATIC, FRIENDLY. HE LOVES MUSIC. WE WENT THERE BECAUSE MY WIFE, MUSICIAN, GLASSY HONK, WAS PLAYING THERE FOR THE 1ST TIME, ON SATURDAY, OCT. 8TH 2022. THE STAFF N PATRONS WERE A DELIGHT. WE WERE ACTUALLY ASKED TO TURN UP THE VOLUME ON THE SPEAKERS BECAUSE THE PATRONS AT THE BAR WANTED TO ENJOY THE MUSIC TOO. PEOPLE CAME FOR THE AMBIANCE, THE DRINKS AND THE FOOD, THEY STAYED FOR THE MUSIC WHERE THEY GOT UP TO SING ALONG AND DANCE. WE HAD A BLAST. CANNOT...

Such a Great Happening Fun Place !!! They have some kinda different entertainment , every night of the week. I wanna check out the Comedy Open mic night. Bartender Shivani is fun with everyone, I got a kick outta her. Everyone including owner, staff & patrons were Really Nice, especially gor meeting them for the first time !!! I can't wait to go back !!!
