My experience on Sunday was an unfortunate one. I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant with my family, especially since I have eaten at one of their restaurants in New Jersey. I had excellent service at their New Jersey location; however, I did not have the same experience at their Port Chester location.
My complaint is not about their food; it is about the staff and management. Below is a list of complaints my family experienced:
Our waitress was rude and barely showed up to see how things were going. There werenāt enough utensil for the table. We had to ask several times for water (which took 20 minutes). Half of the juices came out warm - some lacked sugar. When we asked for ice, our waitress looked puzzled and annoyed. As if we were asking for too much. We asked for extra hot sauces, which were never brought out. Main dishes took 1 hour to come out. EntrĆ©es were missing their included side dish. One entrĆ©e came out with the wrong fish. 2 orders of crunchy arepas were placed; however, the waitress failed to inform us until AFTER everyone had received their plate that the kitchen had run out of AREPAS! One SMALL entree (costilla con papa criolla) never came out. We informed the waitress about it TWICE, which after 20 minutes, the waitress came back and told us that the kitchen had run out of costilla ...
The list can go on.
However, when we expressed our complaints to the manager, Oskar, he blamed his staff instead of apologizing for the service. He stated that he is giving the people of Port Chester a chance to work in the kitchen so we should give them some slack. Overall, Oskar was not compliant when we expressed our complaints and continued to give us every excuse possible.
I hope that management can accept constructive criticism by their customers in the future so that their restaurant can flourish like the ones located...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI could give 2 stars but I'm really trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt. (Changed my stars) I ordered for pick up here, chicharrones, arrow con Pollo and a few other things for dinner last night. My boyfriend got sick in the middle of the night from the chicharrones, then I had to call out of work today because I got sick and I still am as I write this review. While the food was good, I couldn't finish my food. Mind you, this is all I ate from that night. Today I called up the restaurant to let them know what happened, not rude at all, and they invalidated what happened to us because they never had anyone report that issue before. Then the manager took my info and said he'll call me back after he speaks with his higher ups. 40 mins later, no call. Then I called back and there was a different manager and I explained my situation again. He said ill need a doctors note to prove that I had food poisoning then they'll look into it. Its 5pm right now and who goes to an ER for food poisoning? Unless I was an employee there, it sounds ridiculous to go out of my way to prove I got sick over this restaurant's food in order to be compensated. I spent over $40 on my order and I wasn't even looking to get my money back, I would have been perfectly fine getting a certificate to use at the restaurant again to try it out one more time. Or even drinks. I thought I was doing them a favor by letting them know this happened in the first place but again, they invalidated that my boyfriend and I got sick just because nobody's reported it. Be careful when ordering. Update: thank you Grubhub for being reasonable and giving me a full refund after missing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had such a great time at Noches de Colombia! Upon walking in, the aroma of freshly prepared Colombian cuisine and bakery filled the air, and the warm welcome from the staff instantly set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. They have a fantastic bakery with a large assortment of authentic Colombian baked good and pastries. The Pandebono and Arepa De Choclo Con Queso are delicious!
The food was absolutely deliciousāeverything was full of flavor and clearly made with love and care. Whether it was their signature Bandeja Paisa, empanadas, or Pargo Frito, everything was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in serving food that not only tastes amazing but also feels like home.
What truly made the visit stand out, though, was the amazing service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every guest felt comfortable and well taken care of. Our server was knowledgeable, patient, and had a great attitude that added so much to the overall experience.
A special shoutout goes to the manager, who was genuinely pleasant and took the time to check in with my family and I, and all the other tables as well. That kind of thoughtful attention to detail really makes a difference and adds a personal touch thatās rare to find.
Iām already looking forward to my next visitāespecially to check out their Karaoke Night on Thursdays! If itās anything like the rest of the experience, I know itāll be an unforgettable evening full of music, fun, and fantastic food.
Highly recommend Noches de Colombia to anyone looking for great food, warm hospitality, and a...
