Misti Cafe - Take Out — Restaurant in Town of Rye

Very rude waitress, last night we drove 45 minutes to eat at this place. I had ordered take out before and the food has been great and the service was fine. Last night, we wanted to dine in. There was 7 of us and the place was kid of full. There were a few empty tables. We waited for the waitress as soon as she saw us. She said “I don’t have a table for you”. We looked all the way at the end and there was 2 empty tables. Now we have been there before and we were told first come first served. No reservations available. So I asked her about those 2 tables and she said. “ No, I can’t put them together” and she walked away. She didn’t offer to sit us separately at those 2 tables. I wouldn’t mind because I understand we are a large group. But she didn’t say would you like to wait for a table ? Or explain maybe if it was too late that even if we wanted to wait, they were closing soon. I’ve been a waitress and I would have understood if they were closing soon or if we had to wait or sit separately. We just wanted to know if we should wait or definitely had no hope. But she rudely walked away.

It’s always an issue when we order from here. Their food is good, hands down. But their customer service is DISGUSTING! We ordered food, for me, my wife and my two kids for “DELIVERY”. The driver called, his name on caller ID was Jaime Manzo, saying that he couldn’t find our address and that we had to meet him somewhere to pick up the food! What’s the point of ordering delivery if we still have to go pick it up?! I followed by explaining the directions on how to get to our house. His immediate response was “yeah but i can’t find it” didn’t even process my directions. We went back and forth of him not even trying to do his job until he started swearing at me! How are you arguing with a customer AND not trying to do your basic job? Called the cafe to speak to the manager Javier, wasn’t in, a lady named Jessica i believe answered and didn’t know how to handle the situation. Just came back from there and was severely disappointed. We have been there various times and for what it is we were usually pleased. The food is good and fast and the service is usually good as well. Tonight we went and were completely disgusted by the service ee got frim our waitress Carla. We asked for bread after waving her down 10 minutes into our meal. That never came. In fact neither did she. She fluttered around the other tables in our section asking them if evert thing was ok getting checks and flipping tables. Us nothing. We all finished and we waited 5 min go see if someone would notice. Finally we got her attention as she was bringing the check and getting a table that arrived after us their to-go containers. After we left my husband dipped back in to pick up our sons zippy cup that we left on the table and they tell us they threw it out. What ass holes....
