HORRRIBLEE!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. We went to this restaurant years ago when it first opened and original owner would cook and it was very good. So after years we finally decided to revisit and we're so excited about it. From the moment we set foot into the restaurant it smelled like bathroom cleaning supplies. Brushed it off because thought maybe they just cleaned or something. Than our waitress sat us and had a little attitude that seemed to worsen when asked questions about the food. We still stuck through it because thought maybe it was all worth it once the food would arrive, we were wrong. Ordered fried fish, they use pollock and was dry and salty, Lomo Saltado, which had absolutely NO flavor and honestly could not even swallow it, and ceviche mixto that tasted like a fishy salad and felt like the seafood wasn't washed correctly. Point is walked out of there completely disappoint and within an hour were all literally sick to our stomachs. It's a shame coming from Peruvian household when people are being taken advantage for supposed "good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been coming here since I was a kid but itās been a while since Iāve been back. During Covid when they were at the corner during renovations was the last time. I remember the food tasting the same. Iāve never been a huge fan of anything here besides the Pollo Ć la Brasa and the Jalea familiar. The pollo tastes just how I remember and itās prob up there with my favorites. If youāre going just pollo, do ittttt. I usually get it with salad and fries and I make a dressing mix with the green hot sauce and mayo and put it on top of the fries and salad. Such an elite combo.
Atmosphere was alright. I feel like with how long renovations took, the place should look better. Itās so dull and boring. But whatever I guess.
The staff was alright. I asked for causa to try it and it never came and it ended up on my bill so that was a thing but not a huge deal.
Overall, Iāll always come back for the pollo and jalea. Anything...

I still like to remember when it was a small take-out "hole in the wall" down the street on the corner. It was our little secret.
Despite the mediocre service, the long wait time, the lousy decor, and the lack of cloth based napkins, Misti remains the best of all Latin restaurants in Port Chester.
With a strictly traditional Peruvian menu, Mistis offers customers their famous ceviche, Lomo, and Pollo a la brasa. To drink they have a limited menu, but that menu contains fresh and bottled Chicha Morada, a drink that any newcomer should try. After experiencing all their favorites, I encourage you to dive into the rest of their exquisite, yet modest, menu.
Misti's is the restaurant for locals...
