Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! I first found out about Bona Bona on the Grand Bazaar and the line was soooo long it scared us away. Then they did this awesome event at the Moxy and I decided to come and enjoy some free icecream. Dan was doing the event and he was sooo nice. We had a brief conversation and he spoke to me about the flavors and how they prepare them, how they work many events and even have an ice cream truck that goes around NYC since their shop is located in Westchester... it was all so fascinating to hear that I decided to come to the actual store and I was just wowwwwwed!!!!
First of all, it's huge!!!!! Space wise, it's like "the restaurant of ice creamssss", hope it explains itself. They had so much seating space inside and outside, just that was awesome enough!!! The variety of flavor was incredible and everything sounded soooo delicious!!!! I tried maybe 2 flavors and then decided to go for their Italian rainbow cookie, since it was the first flavor to be "sold out" at the Moxy event and I didn't want to miss the chance to try it. Also got cookies and cream, that's my usual and can't miss it!!
The Italian rainbow cookie was so exquisite and enjoyable, super creamy and sweet enough to satisfy your cravings!!! The cookies and cream was exactly what I was expecting, it had lotssss of cookies and was also so heavenly!!!
I tried salted caramel at the event and although I'm a "cookies & cream" kinda girl, their salted caramel was my FAVORITE flavor!!!! Can't describe how good it was, DIVINE.
My boyfriend had the chocolate b dough at the event and LOVED IT, and saw they had a vanilla b dough at the store and went for it and LOVED it as well!!!
I can't wait to be back and try more flavors and definitely get me some more salted caramel.
I had to work things around and add Bona Bona to my top 3 ice cream places!!!!! OMG!!!
Ohhhh, and the flamed marshmallow is more than the cherry on top!!! One would think that because it's marshmallow it'll be so sweet that'll bother but NOOOOO, since it's flamed it gets like a smokey note and makes it a perfect pairing with the ice cream. Loved their creations and loved their shop!! Can't waittt...

ย ย ย Read moreTheyโre getting one star as owner Chef Nick Di Bona does not honor his business commitments. He had a contract with an app where if I as a customer, pay for a certain bag, then he guarantees that bag will be prepared as long as I meet my end of the contract which is to pick it up between certain hours. I paid in advanced. I sent my son to pick up the bag. It was supposed to be picked up before 6:30 PM. Anytime between 12:30 and 6:30. My son came around 5:40 PM and was told they had no food for him. :-(( Why? They seriously could not just give my son to pints of ice cream as they have given other customers using this app? People were cleaning up and closing up. Means if he actually came after another few minutes later, or after 6 PM, they wouldโve been gone all together. I lost my money. I got no ice cream so I canโt review the taste. Does seem overprice to me just because theyโre putting a gimmicky piece of meringue on top, but it wouldโve been nice to actually try it for myself to see if it was indeed worth the cost. Sadly, I cannot. Because this business does not honor itโs commitments. I reached out to it, and I have not yet heard back. Frankly, I would be shocked and pleasantly surprised if they try to do the...
