Vicky's Tasty Treats — Restaurant in Town of Salina

I’ve been going to Vicky’s since I was a little girl, despite growing up in the Utica area. My father would take my brothers and I here often growing up since he works out in Syracuse down the road. We’ve always known Vicky’s had the best tasting ice cream with large portions.

Now as an adult, I’m able to bring my little family here to enjoy the best ice cream in the area! Still the best ice cream and great portion sizes. Alan and Lisa are so kind and have revealed they make their own versions of chocolate, vanilla, etc. That’s why they will have the best, creamiest chocolate and the absolute BEST vanilla around! I could just get a plain vanilla cone and completely enjoy it. Can’t say that anywhere else that just supplies the basic vanilla they have ordered.

I went there today, ordered a twist with sprinkles. The lady dropped her glove on the ground and picked it up and put it on. Then handled my ice cream. I told her I didn’t want to have that one and asked for a new one. She told me she would charge me for two because there was nothing wrong with it because the floor is clean. So I got charged for two ice creams. She took my money and coughed all over my change before handing it back to me. As I got my ice cream I noticed a hair was mixed in with the sprinkles. And when I brought it back, she said that it must have been my hair. Even though my hair is long and black and her hair clearly matched the one in my ice cream. 3 words to summarize- busy, popular, sweet! We stumbled upon this place as we were on our way back to the hotel we were staying in after having dinner at a nearby restaurant. We saw lots of cars and people outside this establishment and decided to grab some sweet treats after going through an unsatisfactory dining experience nearby. From slushes to sundaes to shakes, they have it all. Some unique and Mexican, Tortuga etc. seemed tempting. We tried tortuga, reeses pieces, chocolate covered cherry and chocolate explosion. All were yummy and the small size was more than enough for us. Definitely recommended for a quick sweet treat if you are in town. Staff was friendly and service was fast!
