La Cascada — Restaurant in Town of Southold

I've been to this restaurant a total of 3 times. Out of the 3 visits, today was the worst. There were flies everywhere, why are there sooo many flies?? which I decided to ignore due to the fact that the last 2 times everything was great (food, environment, and service). We came into the restaurant and sat there looking at the menu no one appoarched us. I decided to go order at the counter. I sat down and waited for our food. My husband got served first his pupusas which were amazing. I sat there 25 mins went by then the girl at the counter said "is there something wrong?" I told her yes I'm missing my plate. She said she took one order, tamales and 2 drinks. I was upset and told her forget it 25 mins and were just staring at 1 plate for 2 people is crazy. She didn't even have the nerve to bring an extra plate incase we were sharing. It was a busy saturday so I waited politely giving them time to finish an order she never took. I visited this place once, and the food was great. My second visit was not pleasant. I sat waiting for my order to be taken, and no one cared. I had to clean my own table and walk up to the girl at the register to take my order. While I waited, I had to fight the flies that were everywhere, and this was with no food on the table. As I got my food, I still had to fight with the flies, which was not something you want to do while eating at a restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience was not pleasant, and I will not return to this restaurant ever again. There are definitely many areas of opportunity for management...

Awful experience sad to say. Tried to cancel my order when told it would take 15 minutes. Instead of cancel they said come back in six minutes. Empanadas came in a pool of grease. Ordered chicken got cheese. Shouldn't have eaten them at all but I was starving. Papusa had no taste. Menu prices stated $5 for my order but was charged $8. Now feel extremely sick, tums won't do the job, am stopping at pharmacy for pepto and hope I don't throw up before I get there. Take it from me do...
