Very lousy customer service. First and last time as a customer here. I was told that they would work with me, being that it was very close to closing, unsure if monetarily or portion wise). They had very little food available and it was just sitting out on the counter. I was only given two options for a meal, unaware of the price. The chicken was hot and crispy, so no complaints there. I also chose mac and cheese as the side, which the male employee looked at what was left on the counter and told me that he’d hook me up with some better stuff in the back of kitchen. He left, then a lady came out and asked me what I wanted all over again. She was clearly impatient and not listening to what I was saying about the other employee. She proceeded to scoop the mac and cheese that was laying on the counter into the container (it was cold at this point and no reasonable person would pay for that, nor would any reasonable business charge for that). Then she proceeded to ring me up at $17ish and when I brought up a discount/“work with me” as the guy had mentioned at the beginning, she was dumbfounded. What I suspect here is that the guy wanted to do the right thing by making my first experience a good one, but this lady had other plans. Maybe he has my fresh mac and cheese ready to go at this point, as the portion I got is going straight into the trash.

Read moreWe stop there for lunch after recharging our Tesla. It’s the only place with a menu that interested us with a great review rating. We ordered the family fried chicken meal with mac and cheese, candied yam and collard greens. It did not disappoint and worth every star on their review. We had to wait a little bit longer than usual but we didn’t mind as the owner explained to us that she was cooking our chicken fresh from scratch. I’m telling you it’s worth the wait. The chicken came out piping hot and juicy. The Mac and cheese was excellent, the candied yam was delicious, cornbread was moist and tasty and the collard greens were the best I had outside of Texas. My wife does not like collard greens as she only tasted the one from Cracker Barrel but she truly enjoyed the one from here. It changed her mind about collard greens. It’s a small restaurant and didn’t look like much from outside but don’t let that deter you from enjoying the foods from here. Oh, and the restroom was...
Read moreWe stopped in while passing through and it was wonderful. I had barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes, mac n' cheese, and cornbread. The kids had chicken and waffles or chicken and fries (all of which I tried a bit of). The food was fresh and delicious. The cornbread had a touch of spice that made it stand out among any other cornbread I ever tasted. The waffles were also a unique experience. The chicken pieces were larger than I expected - more of a great thing. The fries were actual fresh cut, cooked, and seasoned potatoes. Mashed potatoes and mac n' cheese were incredible as well. The front looks like a takeout restaurant but it also has a back area with a nice...
