THE HALAL HEN — Restaurant in Town of Thompson

Recommended 100%..This was the first time going to The Halal Hen so we personally went inside to order our food. This is a new place that is kept very clean. Its quite artsy and has a trendy decoration style that is nice to admire. We were greeted in a friendly manner, and encouraged to scan the QR Code to view the Online menu, where there were more choices to pick from. We got the Chicken Platter, the Crispy Chicken Salad and the Mac N Chicken Loaded Fries. 10/10 for each meal. The food was very well packed with a hefty amount of food being served. All worth the money. The food was absolutely delicious. Hands down to The Halal Hen for mixing Mac n Cheese, fries, fried chicken and their hen sauce making a wonderful blend of food put together. It was hard to stop eating it. The Crispy Chicken Salad, this salad was made with love. Delicious. The chicken platter felt very light and clean. Well distributed portions and extremely fresh. The rice was well cooked and the chicken was plentiful. We can't wait to go back try more...

Just for the people to know that the food that we order from him is really, really disgusting. First of all as I am a chef I worked as a chef for years and years I try to support local business. This gentleman give us like a race is old saggy Dry rice, and he call it just has been cooked this morning and the portion they were very, very small and then when we call and complain, he said just come I will give you another order. We have to drive like almost 20 minutes from Liberty to Monticello and then when we come, he changed his mind and he wanna give us only three plates instead of spending $150 you wanna give us the order for $50. This is not fair and just I just want to let everybody know that this gentleman is a liar And the food is disgusting this time previous time was the food OK but this time was terrible. I will never support him. I will never support any gentleman like that. I will never support any liars and please please please please don’t mess with the people...

So when there is new places I like to try them and give them a chance, I usually give every place two chances because some days are busier than others plus I don’t like going on weekends because you know your food is always going to be rushed but this new place I have eaten here several times and honestly every time the food has been on point with no issues and is worth the money, the lamb platter is better than the chicken in my opinion but that’s why you get the chicken and lamb platter mix. The lamb platter is so good I have eaten there probably ten times and nine times has been that, so I really haven’t tried the rest of there food but trust me it is worth plus it’s on DoorDash if you don’t wanna drive to them but do not pass on the opportunity to eat there you will...
