I agree with the reviewer from two weeks ago about the burnt items. Just ordered a double order of chicken fingers and potato skins. Potato skins were so small they were about the size of a half dollar. The flavor was good but for what they cost they were definitely not worth it.....now on to the fingers. We ordered a double order, half grilled barbecue, half garlic parm. The grilled barbecue were so burnt that I still can't get the overly charred taste out of my mouth, they were solid black. Went back to show them with three of them on a plate. Nothing but rude faces from everyone working there and then I was told they would do nothing unless I went back home to get the whole box to prove we didn't eat them all, so I had to drive all the way back to my house and bring back the other ones that were not quite as burnt, however they were also soggy as well and just not good. Upon discussing the condition of the fingers with what was supposedly the "owner" who also cooks apparently (she was a relatively younger girl), she said their fingers were like that and I told her I've had them before and they most definitely were not. She did then agree the other fingers I first brought back were burnt and I said, why were they put in our box then if you absolutely knew they were burnt? She simply said "people like them that way", there is no way, they were solid black on one side. Obviously left on grill too long, so they turned them over so we wouldn't immediately notice and put them in the box anyways. She asked if I wanted more fingers and at that point I was just over it so she finally begrudgingly gave me my money back, but only for the fingers and not the entire order (a good establishment would have refunded it entirely for the trouble) and she said nastily "here's your money, don't come back". Will never again!!!!!! They put out obviously burnt food which she agreed was burnt and somehow I was still wrong in the end and told to not come back. We spent $42.00 on that food🤮. Took about an hr for delivery but thats a normal wait so its cool.I remember trying the pizza here about 3 yrs ago & not being to impressed so this time we each ordered something differant to our craving...hot wings were really good...fresh & hot & spicey, assorted sub was good too but my barbecue chicken fingers were yummy! Cooked perfect, they even gave them that little bit of char with the sweet tangy barbecue sauce...soooo good! There must have been 7 decent size fingers in the order...which 3 of them with some fries filled me up! We all split that order of french fries too & there was more then enough for 4 adults. The fries were cooked perfect too, very fresh not like some places where they taste greasy or like they were cooked in dirty oil. I even reheated the rest of my fingers for lunch today & they were still great! The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they were quite expensive. But I guess every where is nowadays. Glad everyone chipped in money though! Anyways, we will definately order again from them...maybe even give the pizza...
Read moreIm a former employee who quit with a bad taste in my mouth, literally. Over 2weeks time I saw about 20 wings hit the floor & put back to be sold to customers. Raw chicken can sit 4hours in the hot kitchen, not in a cooler b4 its eventually fried. The pans & containers & utensils they use for their food are not properly sanitized... they don't even use SOAP to clean them. They just spray the surface with a rubber hose that frequently isn't even hot due to the water heater breaking down every day. I was appalled. When I started working there the dining rooms & bathrooms had caked on dirt & after busting my back trying to clean the place, a manager comes to me & accuses me of throwing employees under the bus, after I simply stated the work I had put in. I was told they cant clean things bcuz they don't have the hours to staff it, even tho all one has to do is just put forth the effort. Less cell phones & more work would do it. I ended up quitting a day later & the owner decided to short me on my last paycheck for 16hours work. A fitting end to my Mattinas experience. Make up ur own minds but the food standards...
