First time I've ever written a one star review. TLDR: habitually disorganized, slow service, and rude staff. Today was the last straw. Whole story: I placed a mobile order to grab coffee on my way to work. Order time-stamped 2:46. I got to the counter to wait for my drink by 2:49 (I was on my way when I placed the order) I watched cups pile up around the counter and drinks getting made not in the order they arrived. I saw a drink time-stamped 2:55 get put up in the mobile order station at 3:00 (yes, I was checking the time stamps by that point--maybe I'm petty). When I tried to inquire about my drink status I got ignored by two people and then finally got basically an eye-roll. "I'll make it next," the barista said. He finally started working on it at 3:04. 3:07 my drink arrived on the counter. I got on my way, but was late to work. That's honestly why I'm so irritated and decided to write the review. I usually try and let bad service go, everyone has an off day, but I've yet to see this Starbucks have a good day and I have been there about 5 times. I've worked as a barista and I understand how crazy it gets, but to be rude and dismissive after they're the ones who've made a mistake was unnecessary. There were 4 people working the drink station and they had a very poor set up and no communication with each other. It should be going very fast with that many people, but it was extremely clumsy and no one knew what they were doing. My drink took 20 minutes to make and if I hadn't asked about it, who knows how long it would have been. Every time I go there they are out of something and generally surly-- even when it's slow. Honestly, the only benefit to going to Starbucks is that you can grab and go quickly. If you can't even do that here, then there's no point. You can easily get a better cup for a similar price in Middletown at places like Paleteria or Something Sweet. Support local business; get...
Read moreI went into the Middletown NY Starbucks today (3/13/19 @ around 12pm) to buy a gift card for my mother's birthday. I never go to Starbucks, I have never even been inside this establishment but my mother loves Starbucks so it was a trip to get her gift. Like I said, I have never been inside this store so when I walked in, I didnt know where ANYTHING was.
Upon walking in the door I looked around to see if I could see gift cards anywhere. I didnt see them so I walked up to the counter where it says "pick up". I didnt see the registers at first because of the way the counter is set up and I came in from the side. I waited there with an employee in front of me making beverages who completely ignored me for about 5 minutes. Not once did she ask if I needed help, not once did she direct me to the appropriate part of the counter. She just ignored me and it's not like she didnt see me. I understand she was busy making a beverage but how hard is it to say "sorry, you have to go to the register on the other side of the counter." When we have jobs, we all need to multi-task at times.
I finally saw another employee coming out of the bathroom and I walked towards her and that's when I noticed the registers. She was very nice and pleasant but the barista making the beverages needs training in customer service because we all have jobs and we all get busy but that doesnt mean we can ignore people who are clearly unsure of...
Read moreEdit I am editing this and giving it 2 stars instead of 3. Got an iced raspberry white mocha with almond milk and while drinking it I kept getting rubbery chunks in my mouth. I took a look at the bottom thinking maybe it was paper I left on the straw but there was a bunch of white chunks settled at the bottom of the cup along with black flecks or idk what. I called to complain and the manager I spoke to asked what kind of milk did you get. I told her Almond milk and she said the chunks were probably from the milk. What? Why? I use almond milk everyday and never had rubbery chunks form. She never apologized she never acknowledged the black flecks in the drink and just didn’t care. They are going to remake it but at this point I don’t ever want another drink from them again. Original postThey are always so slow no matter if you are going in cafe or drive thru. I was in the drive thru line for 15 minutes before I ordered. Their customer service is good my 20 minutes for 1 drink is a bit much. I love Starbucks but I hate going to this one so I usually go to DD because you’re in and out In about 5-6 minutes. edit again still so slow. I’ve been in line for 15 minutes and there are still 2 cars in front of me til I get...
