Typical bar food, but sometimes, you just can't beat good pub-grub! The bar is cozy and the bartender always cordial. Wait staff is accommodating and pleasant.

Food continues to be served up well. The wait staff is polite, but not personable. This still is a happening place for folks to hang and I learned my lesson to not order take away, but eat at the restaurant, itself (see below for my previous take away experience...)

(During COVID) My issue comes with the takeaway service. Having placed an order via phone and scheduled a time to pick it up, I was told to wait while my order finished cooking, some 10 minutes more. After then paying for and receiving "my order," I returned home to find out it was NOT the food I had ordered. I returned the food immediately, having not opened the clear-lid containers, and asked for my original order and the refund. The refund took 15 minutes, as I asked them to reheat my food (which had been ready since before I arrived the first time and was sitting out, cold, over 45 minutes later). The kitchen staff did not reheat the food and eating stone-cold burgers and fries did NOT sit well with me.

On top of my experience, the gentleman whose order I had been given by Halligan's had ordered a fresh set of meals and was then told that he had to pay for both since I brought back his food! (Not sure how this one was resolved, as I left when he was forced to react to that news. It was not good.)

Halligan's has quickly become our absolute favorite spot for a casual dinner and drinks – and for good reason! From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is something special. Let's start with the drinks. The cocktails are fantastic, a testament to the bartenders' evident pride in their craft. You can tell they pay attention to the details, resulting in perfectly balanced and delicious drinks. It's refreshing to find a place where the bartenders clearly care about what they're serving. The food is equally impressive. Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh, and remarkably fast. We were so tempted by the appetizer menu that we ended up ordering mostly from there, and we were not disappointed. Every dish was flavorful and satisfying. I particularly want to shout out the Caesar salad – the lettuce was incredibly crisp and fresh, a clear sign of quality ingredients. And the best part? The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. We even had leftovers to take home, which is always a bonus! While I regret not snapping any photos (we were too busy enjoying ourselves!), trust me when I say the food and drinks are as good as they sound. If you're looking for a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with delicious food, expertly crafted drinks, and excellent value, Halligan's Public House is a must-try. Absolutely horrible…. The food was comparable to drive through food… we were a table of 5, the first dinner came out then the other 3 dinners came out over the next 50 minutes. Yes that’s right!! The 5th dinner never came out… after asking several what looked to be middle schoolers who were working we finally spoke to the (owner) who thought he was going to give us a couple free sodas to fix the issue… (we declined) we get the check and sure enough we were charged for 5 meals…. After 30 more minutes (and still no 5th dinner the owner says he will take 10% off the bill… what?????????? One of our party never got any food!!!! How in the world are we still paying for any portion of the meal!!!!!!!! 15 more minutes goes by and the middle school staff says that’s the best we can do… so at this point I’m considering calling the Warwick police department to file a theft complaint… you can’t charge someone for a meal that never came to the table.. finally the (owner) says ok you don’t have to pay for the meal you didn’t get…. Gee wiz guy thanks!!! How did it take over an hour to figure that out??? I will never go back…...
