I came in with my family to treat them to lunch. After paying for our food the fire detector went off. Everyone was rushed outside. After 30 minutes of waiting, we were told we could wait for the fire department, or we could give information to the employees walking around and they would arrange a refund plan. I gave my information to one of the employees , who informed me that I couldn’t get a cash refund at the time. She took my info and said someone would call me. Someone called about a week later and informed that I could come back to the restaurant to receive my refund. At which time I informed the caller that I was out of town and wouldn’t be back for a week. He said fine whenever I felt like coming in my name would be placed on the list for a refund. When I return to the location for my refund, nobody had any knowledge of my refund. They couldn’t find my name anywhere, they made several attempts to contact a manager but was unsuccessful. I waited while the person in charge made several phone calls to see if she could give me my refund. Finally after like 25 minutes of waiting she comes and tell me if the refund was over $50 that I couldn’t get a refund, BUT if came to over $50 she couldn’t refund me. She asked me what I had ordered I told her and she said “that would be over $50. So she said just let me make your order iunder $50 so you can get somewhat of a refund for your troubles. Really after waiting all this time just to have my bill split so I can get somewhat of a refund. I was very disappointed in my service at this point. I was given $48 dollars and sent on my way. We had 2 fish fry 2 cheeseburger kids meal , a cheeseburger, two milkshakes (1/2 price) which adds up to more than $48 . I am very displeased with the way...
Read moreOverall I liked it. The food is aweome. Hey, its Bill Grays! The bar was clean and there are plenty of televisions. They have lottery and a golf simulator as well.I decided to sit at the bar. The first 2 bartenders were great, very friendly and were on top of things. There were some other bartenders that were there as well and they were ok. There were a few minor glitches that lowered the score I gave. I had just finished my beverage and set my glass down and one the employees gave us our tray of food and took my glass and walked away. instead of asking if I would like another drink. A different bartender came over and said I will get you some drinks. He never did lol. Meanwhile I'm eating buffalo chicken fingers wishing for some cold beer. Finally a 3rd bartender came and served us our beer. By then I was almost done eating. The other thing that happened was when we were given our tray of food they never brought us utensils and condiments. We eventually had to walk to the other side of the bar and get the carrier ourselves. The lottery machine and ATM are a little too close to tables where people may be sitting so you kind of feel you are invading a bit. The bathrooms were very clean and modern. The only oddity was the faucets in the sink barely reach far enough from the edge of the sink so it's awkward to get your hands under the faucet. These are all minor things and I realize they have just opened and are working things out. I would definitely go back again and I plan to make it a...
Read moreOverpriced, dripping with grease, and weird menu style... This was my first visit to Bill Gray's, and since it seemed to be iconic for the area, I decided to take family there who aren't from here. While ordering, they failed to tell us or even ask us if we wanted fries and drinks with our order because apparently the menu is a la carte, yet the employees failed to inform us that our burgers didn't come with fries (I mean who seriously orders burgers without fries, not many people). Thank goodness I asked right before the man cashed us out, and we added those to the order. Three people, $45.00 and change. That means each plate was $15! For a simple burger, fries, and coke. At this point I'm already expecting one fine a** burger for that price tag. To my dismay, that wasn't the case. This burger was literally dripping with grease. Sure it tasted fine, but I'd rather get a burger at Sonic's for half the price - better tasting and it already includes the drink and fries. There is nothing memorable or savory about Bill Gray's. I'd much rather go all the way out to Orbaker's to get a similar style menu, and much better quality and atmosphere. And to top it all off, every single one of our stomachs ached that evening and following day due to the excessive amount of grease we consumed. I have NO IDEA what the big hype is with this restaurant. I can't believe my family wasted fifty dollars for this meal. Never returning, and will be sure to guide...
