Updated 12/29/24 Update title: Come give them another shot… Since I come here often I may have a biased opinion but I'll still give my review. Love the beer selection. Aside from a couple that are static, It changes often so if they have something you like get it while you can. Lots on tap plus lots of bottles. Too many to name. The food is excellent. I haven't had a thing there that I didn't like yet. Nearly everything is scratch made. I’ll admit - after covid (as many other places also experienced) there was a lot of turnover in the kitchen. There was a period of time where the food was inconsistent. That has since stabilized. The menu has become a seasonal model where every few months they will adjust based on season so if your favorite disappears, it may come back. Great patio so enjoy your dinner outside if you'd like. Keep in mind - during lent be prepared to wait even longer on Fridays. Their fish fries are fantastic and the cars parked up and down the street will back me up. Be aware while you can get takeout, don't hold your opinion of the fish fry to that takeout order. Anytime you close a fried food item in a take out container, good bye crispiness. Recommendations? You have to try the ale house angels. The burgers are large and delicious The meatloaf is one of the sleeper best meals around. Wings are very good. I like to order mine extra saucy but that's me. Porter BBQ are great. Can't go wrong with hot either. Lots of good flavors though. If you like HOT, try the Ebenezer sauce!

Nice little bar and grill in the West Seneca area. It doesn't look like much from the outside but like a lot of places in the Buffalo area the exterior is not the best way to judge. My group ordered a couple different things. The hot peppers are delicious. I would say they're in the top 5 of peppers I've tried in the surrounding areas. The wings were crispy but unfortunately I asked for them to be grilled and they came out without any grill marks on them. The waitress took that charge off my bill. Unfun fact: they upcharge you $2.99 to grill the wings(Boo!). I was also supposed to have 10 of the wings be Cajun, medium and grilled. They came out dry and mild. I had to order a side of medium sauce to pour on them. The fries were fresh cut but needed to be cooked longer. Fries should come out of the kitchen with a slightly brown color to them. Ours were unfortunately under cooked which made them soft. The service was average. Our waitress was ok. Not too friendly but did her job. One downside was she never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. That should be automatic in my book. This place has potential but they need to get better at some things. I'd be willing to try it again to see if there were any improvements. I'd give this place a 3 out of 5.

Our meals were all done perfectly. The salmon was moist, tender and very tasty. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. The beef on wecks were moist and medium well. The loaded fries were over the top tasty and delicious. The strawberry and cream ale was crisp and fresh. It went great with my meal. Our server Jennifer was polite and attentive without being pushy. She served the meals piping hot and the drinks were all appropriately chilled. We will definitely be returning in the future and probably bringing friends. The one thing I didn't see on the menu and is a personal favorite that was on their menu in the past, no more sweet potato fries. I may have overlooked them or it might be a seasonal thing. I do hope that they make it back to the menu.

I had a good experience here, which made me consider booking an 11 person reservation. Well, I'm here to say I will not be returning after my most recent dinner here.

Four from our party were late because of a late flight. We notified the waitress that since we were celebrating our daughter's Baptism and we had an infant with us, we could not wait for them to order and needed food in and out as fast as possible. The waitress knew about our requests and seemed to understand our time constraints. She got us drinks instantly, but things started falling apart rather quickly after that. Drink requests were forgotten about and so were requests for silverware (not that we ended up needing it). While she took our orders quickly and assured us they would be put in immediately, they certainly were not.

Our party of four joined us 20 minutes after we ordered. They ordered their appetizers and entrees. Their appetizers came. None of our food came. Their entrees came. None of our food came. The bussers setting food down assured us food was coming. We waited, we asked the hostess, we asked for the waitress. NOTHING. An hour and a half and all we had to show for it was our party of 4 finishing their entrees and us with 1 drink a piece.

After we finally flagged our waitress down she was completely condescending on how a "kitchen worked" as if no one understood food service. The restaurant wasn't busy. She tried to blame it on a single chicken dish taking this long, but she was notified we needed food ordered and out as soon as possible so she knew we needed all dishes out as soon as they were done. I'm also sure if one chicken dish took 2 hours, the restaurant would have gone out of business years ago.

We had to leave without our food. We asked for our family to bring it home to us. We finally ate 4 hours after initially sitting down and to add insult to injury, the food that was boxed WAS THE WRONG FOOD.

We tried calling the restaurant and manager several times and no one ever got back to us. A giant waste of time and terrible experience, especially for two young parents finally leaving the house with their infant for...

20+ taps of draft beer which change regularly plus a substantial can and bottle list. Local and small batch distillers are counted in with the big brands behind the bar as well. A cocktail list, some ciders and a few B- list wines round out the drinks portion of the menu.

Food covers the gamut from small plates and snacks to sandwiches, burgers, house specialties and entrees. Quite a few items are described as house-made - many feature beer in some part of the preparation. It's an ambitious menu - but depending on the time of day and the size of the crowd, you might find the kitchen a little inconsistent. I've been here quite often over the last few years and have had excellent meals on one night only to have it followed by a return trip that featured cold fries, wilted salad and a badly assembled burger. On good days, it's above average pub grub - other days can be a little disappointing. YMMV.

When busy, it can be loud, close and a little tough to navigate in the bar area. With plenty of wood, glass, tile and metal in the bar and dining area, there's not much that absorbs the sound of a full bar. Floor to ceiling support columns right along the bar also cut down on the usable space. It's not the most comfortable bar to sit at, logistically.

Fortunately, a large seasonal patio offers a bit of fresh air and some personal space, weather permitting. The patio is open to the elements with no overhead cover except for the bar overhang and the odd patio umbrella. The parking lot views are panoramic.

The bar area could do with a spruce up and a hose down - there is a persistent soured beer smell that's a little off-putting if you catch a whiff while tucking into your munchies, but other than that, it's overall tidy for a place that can get rafter-packed on popular nights.

Certainly a lot of local flavor, both from the food and the frequent patrons. It's a good pub with lots to recommend, but it could do better...

We were driving through and stopped for some food, after standing by the hostess stand for 10 min some of the other patrons told us to pick our own seat. We waited 15 min for the waitress to take our drink order, had to get our own menus, and then another 10 minutes for the drinks. The food wasn’t different than what was described on the menu, but it wasn’t good either. The fish taco special could not be purchased without purchasing a margarita and was flavorless. There were raw peppers in the taco, maybe 2 pieces of cilantro, and minimal sauce. It was a fried fish taco, but not a good one. My friend got the steak sandwich and the meat was untrimmed, so she had to cut quite a bit of fat off, leaving minimal meat for the sandwich. The meat was ordered medium rare but served well done. The fries were served cold and unsalted and the waitress forgot to put in the side of Mac and cheese. When it was served we weren’t given any silverware or napkins, and the waitress wouldn’t come by our table. The waitress said she was new, and she was very overwhelmed with the tables she did have. I will also add that the place was dead (maybe 5 tables in total including the outside patio). She did avoid our table and had to be flagged down when we wanted to order and get our check. The best thing that was purchased was the margarita, which was not made to the order (ordered sugar rim, and it was served unrimmed). When we walked in the tables waiting on their checks were talking to themselves abt how bad the food was and we should have taken it as a warning. It took another 20 min to get the check after asking. No hate to the staff, they all seemed very overwhelmed and very sweet, but the food and atmosphere made for a meal that ended with us deciding to visit the local food trucks, and feeling like we...
