A tale of two chains.
Chipotle and the wish version of it “Moe’s”.
However you feel about masks just read my review of Moe’s to understand whatever side your on I think there is some common ground points I make.
Anyway. I have trouble breathing (or maintaining adequate Blood oxygen levels) and honestly I am tired of making a big deal about my health in public, being singled out about it or having to struggle with a face covering just to blend in.
I came here to get food. The staff told me to mask up I asked if they made any legal accommodations. Teen enforcing the policy had no idea and politely grabbed the manager. Manager explained “chipotle is enforcing a mask mandate even though there is no state or county one here. I could order online”
I responded that that was inconvenient but I understand their policy and her position. I asked if shed be willing to make a legal accommodation and take my order from either the front door or while I sat at one of their tables. ( as per their policy and #science covid doesnt work if you are sitting down. It cant get you apparently hence the packed dinning room of maskless people but everyone standing wearing the paper compliancy garbs)
The manager said “sure”.
Proceeded to take my order out front, prepare the food and brought up my order.
Super friendly and understanding.
I get people are afraid but be honest its a tiny store theres no difference between people sitting and standing whether they are eating or not. These rules have just gotten silly.
Anyway the difference is chipotle can enforce an unpopular store policy effectively with out being nasty, disrespectful or discriminatory. Moe’s clearly cant.
Moe’s was a 30 minute ordeal of abuse, ignorance, and even law enforcement being called
VS
Chipotle taking 5 minutes total start to finish. Getting my food and being treated...

On August 22, 2025, I returned to use one of the free meal coupons provided from the prior experience noted below. Despite this, I was improperly charged for a “miscellaneous side” the staff claimed was corn salsa—something that should have been included in the burrito bowl. A manager eventually refunded me for the miscellaneous side, but the associate had already instructed me to scan my card twice for the sides, stating the first attempt did not go through.
I was given a receipt for just over $8, for the miscellaneous side, guac and queso, but when I later checked my bank statement, I discovered the first scan had in fact been charged—$26. The free meal coupon was applied, yet I was still charged both $26 and $8. I was never told about the $26 charge, nor given a receipt for it.
After contacting Chipotle, they admitted the error, pulled the receipts, and issued a $26 refund. However, this experience has been nothing but hassle: I was overcharged at the store, forced to get a refund on the spot, and later discovered an unauthorized $26 charge. The lack of transparency, the multiple errors, and the dismissive “just a refund” resolution are unacceptable. We will not be returning.
Was always one of our favorite places; however whatever you do, don’t order your food ahead for pick up - burrito bowls are half the size they should be and this has happened numerous times. At least in person you can tell them they need to add more of certain things if they try and skimp on the...

Employees are inexperienced and it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the management when things are done wrong. Food quality is low par, employees are not concerned w their performance or professionalism, yesterday they were goofing off in front of me n my friends who came in just laughing not paying attention dropping things all the while they allowed the least experienced staff member makes both of our burritos wrong. In front of us. Then the manager asks me if I want it made again and is smart w me when I asked for refund... no i do not want it made again i watched yall make it wrong the first time. “Calm down”? Sorry for not giving the benefit of the doubt I came for food and to leave not for a bad experience. I have worked service since I was 16 years old. Its money for goods, im paying to a meal, something im gonna put in my mouht lmao... People can make things wrong on their FIRST day thats an excuse sure, but not their third like what.
