I'm more concerned with the many complaints about the lobster roll not being fresh not being hot and not being plentiful I guess and then no responses from the company on those but definitely responses on comments that have great service great food great appetizers great this great that and that concerns me because anyone can write a raving review but most people won't write a review at all unless it's something negative that they did not like about either the service or the food or the atmosphere and they feel like they did not get their money's worth their money was not spent well and their bellies were not fully satisfied and those I tend to believe far more than great appetizers excellent service because we don't know if they're even true but we also don't know if these people know the server or something to that degree and so I tend to not trust raving reviews with little words but I definitely tend to trust reviews that have honest, heartfelt reviews of their experience that they paid probably good money for and either enjoyed or did not enjoy LOL but I can definitely tell you I love Lobster and I love lobster rolls but I absolutely will not even try one there really reviews that I've seen and they could be from of their restaurants not necessarily the one that is listed with their address so I will not be trying to lobster roll or the seafood Trio because that just got demolished with some reviews that were atrocious on the part of the restaurant at best and customers that are so unhappy they are not going to return. It's very sad to see no commentary on those reviews for the people who experienced a negative experience so much so that they wanted other people to know on a Google restaurant review! Most people can't find a single moment of their day to direct towards anything outside of their daily routine so to find several moments to write a detailed review of the food, the service, the experience, and their dissatisfaction is unfortunate. If they can respond to the ones that have raving reviews of five words or less and thank them for it they should put in the time to inquire as to why the restaurant experience was bad and get more details because when you tell the truth the details are there for you already but when you lie you have to make them up and they are never the same it sounds fictitious and if you have truth in you you can recognize deception but if you don't have truth in you you can't recognize it so I guess that isn't even something to consider most of the time but I have truth in me and I would be able to hear someone's story of their experience and know by talking with them if what they are telling me is truthful and then I would take it to the next step and figure out a Mutual compromise that isn't going to break the restaurants Bank but will lead that potentially lost customer into potentially giving the restaurant at least another chance and you do that by offering some type of discount that will not only bring you in another customer but will give your restaurant a chance to recoup its reputation with them and it will give the customer an opportunity to see if the restaurant can be redeemed but not answering at all is just bad customer service which only leads to a final conclusion that the restaurant is not worth putting any money into on any level and that's not good so do better...
Read moreCame here a few weeks ago for a date, was thoroughly unimpressed by the treatment we received by this restaurant.
When we arrived, we were told, by the manager, that no booths were available so it'd be a 5-10 minute wait unless we wanted to sit at one of the hightops which was, as the manager put it, "full service." We decided to go with a high top and went and sat down. When we initially sat down, I noticed 1 booth that was available, and 2 more that were empty of patrons and just needed to be cleaned. They could have accommodated us a whole lot more considering when they finally cleaned those 2 tables, it took them maybe 2 minutes, each, to clear. 10 minutes of waiters and waitresses ignoring us went by. Other families came in and sat at those booths we were told were not available. Those groups that came in after us and got seated at those booths also got served by a waiter/waitress before us too. Even the host guy that stands at the entrance to seat people walked by and looked me dead in the eye but didn't say anything to us. Another 5-10 minutes after he came by finally a waiter came over and gave us menus and silverware, and took our drink order. 20 minutes total was spent sitting at this table before we were even offered menus, and yet the manager said it was "full service." What a joke!
Now for the food: I was under the impression that this place sold "real-sized entrees." This was not the case, and what I got was less than impressing and did not even remotely look healthy. I mean, yeah, Garlic Parmesan Chicken Mac & Cheese as pictured doesn't contain any vegetables, but they really should have offered a salad with it or something. Not only that, but when this dish came out, it was extremely tiny and not very filling. Heck, I looked over at another family's table and their child's kids meal looked bigger and more appetizing then what I got.
And the bathroom wasn't clean either.
Less than impressed 99. Extremely...
Read moreStopped in on a Thursday around 4pm. No wait for table in dining room, we were sat immediately. Server was friendly and professional. Menus and popcorn dropped off and drink order taken. Decided on Vermont Cheddar Burger cooked medium 🍔 as per server recommendation because of the maple mayo and caramelized onions. Cousin said burger was nothing special and she could hardly taste the maple mayo. She was not impressed with this tasteless (not hot, barely warm) specialty burger. I ordered shrimp stuffed with tasteless (saltine?) crackers. The Shrimp was overcooked. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were underwhelming and cold. By the time our server came back to check on our meals, my cousin had picked over her burger and was done eating what she wanted and I had eaten my shrimp. We told her about the cold temperature of our food and she offered to bring out more broccoli, which I didn’t want. This is our 2nd time dining at a 99 Restaurant location in a year. We were not happy with our food from the Aviation Mall restaurant from 10 months ago or the Route 50 Saratoga location last week. We will not be going back to any 99 Restaurant locations in the future. Prices have increased for basic food items, the menu needs to be revamped, and they need to bring back certain meals at a specially priced section of their menu! What happened to all of the $9.99 priced meals??!… Bring them Back!! Give us more options at a...
