Laughably rude sandwich maker. Ordered a bunch of food to go for 5 people. (Sunday July 14th at around 7:45 PM.) Before leaving we discreetly checked the the bag because two sandwiches were missing from our order at a Panera in Albany a couple days before. This time, a half sandwich and two bags of chips were missing. The missing items were on the receipt, so we went back and the person helping us told the sandwich maker what was missing. The sandwich maker snatched the receipt and snapped at my daughter, “I MADE this.” My daughter politely pointed out that the source of confusion may be that one of us had ordered a whole of the same sandwich; the sandwich maker just glared at us. She took over 10 minutes to make the half sandwich and then slammed it on the counter and stormed off. When we looked in the bag it contained the sandwich and only one bag of chips. Unbelievable. We informed the person who had been helping us, who in turn told the sandwich woman. Visibly irate, retrieved a bag of chips and literally—no exaggeration here—THREW them at us! All I could do was laugh, it was so ridiculous. (The nice people at the Albany Panera had simply forgotten to put the missing sandwiches in the bag; so there was no wait, no food throwing, no bad behavior—in fact, they gave us a complementary bag of cookies to compensate for the inconvenience.) The food from this one in Saratoga was fine, but such toxic behavior toward customers and other staff leaves a bad taste in the mouth and is frankly worthy of immediate...
Read moreI went to Panera for lunch went to the bathroom first and it was disgusting. (I was shocked.) Then i went to order and the computers to order were all messing up and they had one cashier on taking orders with a line. My French onion soup was good but the Caprese sandwich was horrible and I took it back to the window where the food comes out. I put it down on the counter in front of the many of the workers in the kitchen. (But only one cashier with a line) I said the sandwich doesn't taste good, I took one bite out of it and it was nasty. He said to me " It was made the way it always is". Yes because he knows what my food taste like. He doesn't and it was rude. So I'm sure my face expressed dissatisfaction. So his response to my facial expression was do you want something else. Which pissed me off. Why would you say its made the same way at that point i was upset at how staff responded to my complaint and how the sandwich tasted and how I felt was totally dismissed. So I said no and walked away. I sat out in the dinning area for a while, while my friends ate their food and not once did anyone come out like a mangaer. I'm pissed and will never come back. The food isnt cheap and the whole experience was horrible. The bathroom, ordering, the food (except the soup) the people in the kitchen or at least that one person. I'm never coming back. You just lost a customer over a sandwich because apparently the kitchen staff knows how your food taste plus everything else you need to fix and learn how to...
Read moreI Went to panera bread in Wilton Saratoga to meet a friend and catch up on life. There was plenty of parking, I loved the two entrances so no matter where I park it is easy to enter. The staff was very welcoming, they let us know we had credits for baked goods and delivery which was great. My friend got to bring a treat home. Their kitchen sink cookie is incredible. My favorite is their cinnamon crunch bagel with cream cheese and the price was so reasonable. A great meal for $10, you can not seem to get that anywhere these days. Convenient drive through option and is wheelchair accessible. The flow of traffic allows those who are waiting for food to move down, no lurking by the counter waiting for their food. Inside and outside seating options which is perfect for the change in weather. The portions for pick 2 gives you choices between their delicious soups (also seasonal) or sandwiches. Fresh baked bread and pastries they even donate left over/ day old bread which is something I can definitely get behind. I love sitting in a comfortable place with WiFi catching up with friends. A popular lunch time place that is located conveniently, it can get busy but the space between tables, booths and lounge chairs allows just enough space for privacy and to blend in if you're treating yourself. I would be happy to see some small plates to share but overall a great place for a quick bite. Oh and who doesn't love the green goddess salad. Dine there. Take out....
