JJ's Scoop House — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

I wanted to give this a 5 star rating, but no onsite parking and a little bit of crystallized ice cream (coconut mounts, yes mounts) took a little away from the charm of this place. A bit small in the service area/entry (though there is an ice cream service window that is probably well utilized at busy times) but there were a several places to sit and relax. There was even a Connect 4 and chess set out to play. Down a narrow walkway to the back was an outdoor seating area with multiple picnic tables. And of course, seating in front along the road/walkway. Service was prompt...

Update: changed from 2 star to 1. Whatever artifical sweeteners were in that caused me to get violently ill and throw up about 10 minutes after drinking it. Whatever it is is not safe for human consumption.

If you're into modern "hipster" cafes then this would be a good place for you. I got a plain vanilla shake and it didn't really taste vanilla, just tasted like...
