Drippin' Chicken — Restaurant in Tracy

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Drippin Chicken, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming, and the tantalizing aroma of fresh, hot chicken filled the air.

What I Ordered:

• Mac Bowl: 10/10 This dish was an absolute delight. The creamy mac and cheese paired perfectly with the crispy, flavorful chicken. The portion was generous, and the balance of flavors was spot on. This is comfort food at its finest, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. • Tender Combo: 10/10 I opted for the tender combo and was blown away by the sheer size of the tenders. They were ginormous! I could only finish two out of the three because they were so filling, but I made sure to take the third one home—no way was I leaving that behind! The tenders were cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. • Waffle: 10/10 Adding a waffle to the mix was a fantastic choice. It was fluffy and light, the perfect counterpart to the rich, savory chicken.

Sauces:

What truly took the meal to the next level were the Drippin Sauce and House Sauce on the side. These sauces were the perfect complement, enhancing the already perfect dishes. I didn’t think it was possible to make something so good even better, but these sauces did just that. A perfect 10/10 on all fronts!

Updated: Been here a few times since and to my surprise, the chicken is Halal. I wish i could give this place 10 stars. What a pleasant surprise.

Overall Experience:

Drippin Chicken is a gem in Tracy. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. If you’re a fan of hot chicken or just looking for a hearty, satisfying meal, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be returning to try more...

I had been told about this new chicken joint for a few months and finally was able to try it.

Before I begin, they offer two sauces: Drippin sauce, which is cheesy and Dippin sauce, which is sweet and tart like 1000 Island.

We arrived, first customers of the day, and it is obvious that the owners/operators are NOT restaurant people. There are "flow" issues inside, there are not enough garbage cans, and they do not wipe down the tables or clean the soda machine.

I would suggest To Go orders.

I ordered a 3-piece with fries Medium hot, nothing too extravagant, and kept it simple. The chicken was juicy and cooked good, and the fries were crispy-ish.

The chicken has a batter type coating that is BBQ dry-rub mixed with Chili Powerd for heat and Paprika, too. I believe it is also gluten-free, although I can not say for sure.

The fries were also sprinkled with the BBQ rub after cooking, which was a surpirse.

The uninspired Mac and Cheese was a letdown. The pasta was overboiled, and the cheese sauce was badly watered down. I added the Drippin sauce to my Mac n Cheese, and it was way better.

I wasn't sure if i wanted to try this place. I saw it already had two 1 star reviews while being just opened. With 1 lady saying it doesn't tast fresh and is bland. I can now tell you this for certain, I have no clue what they're talking about. They're either delusional or local restaurants hating on the new competition. This place was REALLY good. Here in Tracy we do not have alot of good local joints, but we now have this place. The chicken sandwiches were perfect.
