Hopefully these words will lead to some real changes. This place came under new management at some point in recent history, making it no longer the favorite place of my Mexican parents, as the portions, and the flavor just didn't live up to previous reputation. I will start with the chips and salsa. The chips are pretty good, the salsa was watery and runny, yet still flavorful, not too spicy. However, I call it "endless salsa," because it literally runs off of the chip when you try to scoop it up from the salsa cup. I had the seafood cocktail campechana, which is a medley of shrimp and octopus, it should have more than that, but it's mostly what I found in my cocktail, but overall it's pretty good, the octopus was tender. My brothers ordered the Jorge's special seafood platter, which comes with an assortment of fried seafood including shrimp, fish fillets, abalone and calamari among other things. This platter used to feed 2 or 3 people, now it's been reduced to a $40 appetizer for 1. So it used to be that you payed $40 for this platter, but it would be something you could share, now it's just a rip off. The drinks were pretty good, I had a Modelo on tap, and I didn't get the sense of dirty tap lines. I saw a few margaritas at our table, and they looked pretty good. The service was good, we were well attended, we didn't have an MIA wait staff, they were consistent. Overall, it's ok, the drinks are good, the food is pretty good, and it's not insanely priced like the other Mexican seafood place down by the abandoned...
Read moreAgain. Son c’mon. Seriously.. you’ve gotta give this place a break so you can miss is a bit. lol. But sits on. I get it. They are pretty good. Ambiance is amazing. Really gives you the Latin vibe and feels as if you’re a bit transported to Mexico for a traditional Hispanic meal. Staff is phenomenal and very helpful with ordering and informing us on what they’d suggest based on our likes. Food is for sure flavorful. Kinda reminiscent of a abuela in the outside kitchen singing and dancing as she beats the dough and stuff. lol see that picture I painted in your brain there lol 😂 😉. My son true to who he is ordered an huge steak burrito and rice. He’s simple yet picky. Easy date kinda guy. lol. Myself I got the Diablo shrimp with an extra side of the Spanish rice and salsa, my daughter got just a side of Spanish rice. Lol go figure. She’s usually my foodie bae. My wife got a steak and bacon street tacos. I forgot the actual name.. 🤦🏽♂️ I Know I know I’m sorry. Lol. I also had a Al Pastor crispy taco. YUMZ!! And a tequila sunrise. Purely for the vibes lol. All and all. Great place. Good food and even better people. I highly recommend you visit once at the very least if ever you’re in the...
Read moreCame here with my wife on Sunday for the first time. General feedback is that the dining room is a little dated and it was quite warm inside. The server was great and was extremely attentive to our needs especially my kids which was great, service was very fast and again the food was very tasty. Here are my only reasons for 4 out of 5 instead of 5. When i bit into my second taco, i was met with a chicken bone, my wife laughed but i thought i was going to look like a hockey player. The server went and to the kitchen staff, and apologized, and discounted that plate 50%. My only other note was the exposed ceiling tile in the dining room. I know that when I go out to eat nobody can ever be perfect oh, so finding a chicken bone in my meal did not become a problem because of how quickly the server acted and I believe that she acted appropriately. The ceiling tile didn't affect my meal but it was just unsightly seeing all the exposed wires and cobwebs as it has been there for some time but I think for my position most people wouldn't notice it because the TV is nearly in...
