The Sandwich Spot Tracy- Gunther Home Made Ice Cream — Restaurant in Tracy

Had an amazing experience here today. I would love to give 5 stars but allow me to explain my reasoning for 4.

Food: overall my sandwich is delicious! I got the Altamont with no onions, tomatoes, and peppers. Sadly my sandwich did end up coming with peppers, which is no big deal at all I’m just a super picky person. I got a delicious strawberry smoothie as well!

Customer service: 100% the best customer service I’ve ever seen. It felt nice to be treated like a person and not like an inconvenience like at other places would. The shop owner does an amazing job!

Environment: This is where it gets a little 50/50 I got a combo for my first time here because why not go out? I went pick out a drink from the fridge and all of them where past their dates which isn’t a big deal but to me if makes me not want to drink it. However I know right now in the economy it’s super hard to land good vendors who price adequately so I’m not worried about it too much.

Overall my experience was great, great enough for me to leave a review which I hardly ever do. Thank you...

Forgot to review this but they totally forgot to make our sandwiches, the time we went people who got there after us kept getting served and the workers didn’t even ask to see if there was a mix up and we were standing there for so long. I had to go up there and say something and people kept talking to other people trying to find the sandwich, instead of just apologizing and saying they forgot. One star because I didn’t even get our sandwiches and didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes for them to remake them. Owner wanted us to come back but first impressions do it...

I was working in Tracy this last summer, and one of my co workers recommended this place to me at the beginning of the summer. First time I walked in Jennifer and Cornell were very welcoming, they went out of their way to really get to know me and provided very good service. The sandwiches and ice cream were incredible! Long story short I ended up eating there 30+ times over the summer. Any time I am back in Tracy I will definitely be stopping by. Thank you for the incredible food...
