We Love Big Dogs — Restaurant in Trappe

Heard about this place and decided to drop by for lunch today. If it's your first time heading here, they're located inside of Captain's Market. When you walk in, there is a sign directing you to the kiosk to place your order- and if you have questions, there's plenty of staff to ask. They were more than happy to help!

When we ordered at the kiosk, we didn't realize these dogs were HUGE, but that stopped none of us. The mac & cheese was great- the portion seemed small when it came out, but it might have still been a little too much after these dogs! haha

Between us and our friends we tried the Chicago Dog, Nacho Dog, Chipotle Chili Dog, Mexican Street Corn Dog and Texas Sloppy Dog. Not a single negative thing to say about ANY of them!!

They were all delicious and different, but personally the Street Corn and Texas Sloppy were my favorites. The street corn has a savory sauce in the bottom of the bun with just the right amount of punch to it. The corn added a nice sweetness, too! The Texas Sloppy Dog was piled high with beef short rib, coleslaw, honey bourbon glaze and onion straws, plus these pickle chips that complemented everything perfectly!

My next visit I'd really like to try the BLT Dog next.

Gourmet Hot dogs..yea that a thing now...and We Love Big Dogs has you covered...with a large selection to choose from you will be back to check another flavor off your list. Crab, cheese steak, brisket are just few unseemly toppings that they marry with the traditional hotdog and make it totally untraditional and will have you craving more. It's seem to be a relatively new business as it's inside of another business and orders are taken at a self serve kiosk. With no help to be found I did manage to place my orders and followed the poorly marked bread crumbs to pick up my food...but the food made up for the lack of service at this take out establishment. I will be back to check another 2 flavors off the list. And at only $7,99 per dog it doesn’t...

Went there for the first time today with my husband after I saw them while scrolling on DoorDash. We decided to go in vs ordering, and so glad we did! The hot dogs were absolutely delicious, and it being inside the market was fantastic because we also ended up picking up a dessert and frozen baked ziti to make for dinner the following night! The prices are extremely reasonable, and we plan on returning for future hot dogs/dinners. 10/10 would recommend...
