First impression blew away. Me and my partner were approaching the front entrance, while someone was cleaning up outside in front. This person noticed us approaching, and took initiative to open the doors for us, welcome us in and get us seated right away at an available table. They were packed when we arrived and stayed packed. It was veterans day so there were a good mix of people there all who seemed delighted with their drinks and food. We were greeted by our server quickly who got our drinks out fast to us. The table next to us all got hot chocolates which wafted to me and smelled so good. I didnt get one but was incredibly tempted to. Both my partners food and I didnt take very long to be prepared and at our table. The food looked amazing and tasted it too. I had gotten a pineapple ham chicken sandwich, and assumed like most places i would need extra napkins as these types of foods are always greasy and fall apart half way through. I was wrong, the sandwhich was so well prepared that i hardly had any drops of anything of the such, and i fact the whole sandwhich stayed put together for every bite. The pineapple really impressed me, instead of small diced or something that felt like it had been sitting around, there were whole cut rings of fresh pineapple. I left so satisfied by the meal as did my partner. The staff was wonderful about checking in at the right pace for refills or if we needed anything else. They do only have two bathrooms, one male one female, and so you might have to wait a moment if you need to use the facilities or wash up, however they mens bathroom was clean, didnt look like there was any visible damages, and very accessible. Highly recommend you check this place out and remember to bring extra cash to leave a nice tip for all the...
Read moreEvery single meal I eat here, is the best darn thing I have ever eaten. Their Italian wedding soup.. incredible.. Their Ahi Tuna sandwich was better than the Ahi Tuna I had at a fancy smancy restaurant in the outer banks. This sandwich from Grace's was the best Ahi Tuna I have ever had. My kids are picky as heck, my youngest is like a bird and I have to practically force her to eat to survive, but not at Grace's. That kid ate an entire plate of Nutella and fruit pancakes. Oh and the coffee, I'm not sure what they use but its some of the best coffee I've ever had.
Sometimes there is a wait to be seated, but its thoroughly worth it and honestly it makes my heart so happy to see their business thriving. The staff are always so kind and the prices are extremely reasonable.
My favorite thing is that its easily accessible. After my recent health diagnosis, I need mobility aids to get around. This restaurant is designed to accommodate the person. In a wheelchair? no problem. Have a hard time gripping silverware? No problem, the silverware is designed specifically to be easy to hold and use. Have food restrictions or texture issues? They don't mind weird requests like my youngest daughter not wanting her fruit to touch her Nutella pancakes, even though she ended up dipping her fruit in the...
Read moreMy daughter and I went there for breakfast this morning and what a pleasant surprise. The place was bright, airy, and welcoming. There was plenty of seating with room to push tables together for larger groups without crowding other guests. I got the blueberry pancakes and they were filled with plump, juicy, flavorful blueberries, and my bacon was cooked to perfection, nice and crispy, but not burnt! My daughter went with a buffalo chicken wrap that she thoroughly enjoyed! She also got a side of french fries that were the best I have had in a long time. They were so crispy, yet still potatoey on the inside. The wait staff, Big J to be exact was awesome. He was outgoing, and had just enough friendly banter to make us laugh, but not to a point that we felt he was hovering, I had a chance to chat with the owner who was a lovely woman. She was so welcoming and gracious, and most appreciative of the positive feedback I gave her. We were so glad we gave it a try and will look forward to going back with the rest of my family. I would highly recommend Grace's Cafe to anyone looking for a tasty place to eat with a...
