Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Trappe

My family went for ice cream and knew this location is a full serve so it'd be open. The staff was friendly and quick, I have no issue with them. My husband and I ordered the new hot chocolate oreo blizzard and my son got a regular Oreo blizzard. We started to eat and there was some funky taste to it. Like a mechanical taste. I thought maybe the hot chocolate part was just dumping a packet of hot chocolate into the mix, which wouldn't taste very good either, but my son's plain one tasted like that too. So my husband returned the blizzards. The staff seemed confused over it, but were quick to make it up to us. The one girl did say it's been a while since anyone's complained of the taste, so this wasn't the first time. I asked if we could just have three small vanillas with some caramel, they obliged and refunded us the difference. My son even asked to add M&M's at the last second and they did. Unfortunately, they poured probably a lb worth of caramel onto my ice cream. I like caramel, but that was over kill. I ate a few spoonfuls before I had to give up and we decided to just go. We thanked the staff for their service, they apologized again about the blizzards. I don't think we'll be returning. I gave them two stars because the staff was really courteous and helpful to us. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. My gf has been getting random ads for the $5 chicken tender basket which supposedly includes texas toast and white gravy. I kept telling her it wouldnt have the toast or gravy just like the last time this happened like 5 years ago. I told her to call and ask before we wasted our time. She didnt call but said went on the collegeville website where it did in fact have it with the toast and gravy. (Just checked and while it dosnt explicitly say this location carries it, it certainly gives you that impression. I'm attaching the screen shots) So I caved and we headed over. Ordered and sat. They brought it out and boom! Strips and fries. Not surprised tho. Staff, food and environment were fine...

Went to get some take out here around 730ish. 3 people working here looked like one was training on register. Didn't see anyone here wearing gloves during any of the food handling. Employee handed us a blizzard without gloves and hands covered in chocolate ice cream. And also prepared it without gloves, the lid of the blizzard was also wet for some reason. Never was given our drinks that came with our meals. No hats or hairnets was being worn. This looks like it could be some critical sanitation issues. Staff was friendly, one with longer hair did do his best to lead. But looks like a training issue.
