Hardee’s — Restaurant in Travelers Rest

I came by Last night and my husband and I ordered two 5 piece combos we asked for it to be cooked fresh and we got exactly what we asked for. I was absolutely pleased because the manager on duty and her cook were getting swamped with multiple orders because there was a parade outside, And many customers were coming in making messes, making difficult orders and despite of that, her attitude never waivered. I must admit I’d rather come to Hardees in the evening to eat because I don’t have to hear all the chaos in the morning from the restaurant manager and the other staff I like to just come and get my food minus all of the theatrics and yelling. I do notice that whenever we come, it’s always just one or two people in the store and the restaurant manager is never there…I’m not necessarily complaining because we would probably find somewhere else to eat if she were there in the evening. The young male manager tells us that the machine isn’t working and denies service if we’re not there before 8 PM. Hes always outside with a vape in his hand and the phone in the other. I like Service from Nikki, Ashley And I can’t remember the girl who was there last night she had on a blue polo top She had her hair in Twists I used to see her all the time but now it’s often but still a treat whenever I do. Hardees Changed a lot We used to be able to come and get quality food at any given time of the day have a clean, peaceful quiet and friendly atmosphere. For the most part, we get that when we come in the evening but it’s usually hit or miss in the morning when it comes to order accuracy and a peaceful atmosphere.I stopped coming in the morning when I was argued with by the restaurant manager about what I requested on my own breakfast biscuit that I ordered and I paid for. She then very immaturely went over to her crew members, repeating her argument asking them for confirmation if she was right … rather than Leading by example. I Didn’t stop coming to the restaurant I just Come later on because I know she’s never there during those times. I don’t know why there’s never enough staff in the store, but if they had to deal with the same confrontational circumstances as I had to that morning, It’s no mystery Why. This will be long, stay with me.

First and foremost, I always have a good experience at this location. The young man that runs the drive thru is always very kind and prompt.

I went to get dinner for my husband and I, ordered the Famous Star Combo large with a coke and went about my day.

Once I got home, I took a bite of my food and almost immediately dropped it on the floor, so to the pup it goes, and back to Hardee's I go.

Once I get to the drive thru, a lovely young women pops up and asks me if I would like to try their Famous star combo large with a coke, and Yes, yes I did, bc that was my exact order not 15 minutes ago😆

I explained what happened and we had a laugh, Once I got to the window, she generously comped my meal.

Then the same young gentleman i ordered from the first time, handed over my bag and told me to make sure I keep this one safe from the puppers, again, bringing a smile and a laugh.

Little do these two know, I was struggling Today, it has not been a good one and dropping my food was the icing on the cake. They went out of their way with Generosity and Compassion just to make sure I had a nice meal and a better experience. It truly shinned light into today's dreary mood.

Thank You, you Excell in customer service and what you do and you both should be recognized for it. I dont know your names, but know that Today, you made it a good day for someone going through it, just with your kindness.

P.S, the Famous Star was Amazing the second...

First of all let me say that I only saw 2 people working when we arrived. One lady was in the kitchen cooking the food and the other lady ( manager I think) was at the register taking orders AND wearing a headset for the drive thru. 2 people doing the job of four or five. And they did a FANTASTIC job!!! To be honest, the fries were a little cold and limp, and there was no sweet tea, but you have to keep in mind that, due to the hurricane, they had a bare boned skeleton crew. I didn’t even care about my fries as I watched these 2 ladies bust their butts trying to please a line of people lined up at the register. Some customers got mad, some left, some were patiently waiting. I’m sorry I didn’t get names of the ladies but they deserve some recognition I can tell you that I was at the travelers rest location at about 13:30 or so on Wednesday and we ordered 2 of the 5.99 bags and a mushroom Swiss burger combo. $23 and change. These two women, along with another, older woman who was mopping, really went above and beyond. The place was very clean and the crew was very professional. Next time I’m in that area I will return because, despite the terrible things going on in WNC at the time due to Helene, these people toughed it out and did a great job By the way, the 5.99 bag is the greatest deal going in the fast food...
