I came in about a week ago and ordered a turkey and American on white. When she pulled the bread out it looked very over crunchy and burned. She dug around trying to find another loaf and couldn’t so she started to cut it open. I asked “is that bread too dry to eat?” The worker said “no it’s just the way it baked, it’s fine” I agreed as she wasn’t goi g to swap it out apparently and had my sandwich made. 1 turkey and cheese with no drink and no chips was just shy of $17. But I was travelling so I knew it would be expensive but I was so hungry I didn’t care. I went out to my vehicle to go park and eat and as soon as I touched the sandwich the top was so burned and crispy my 3 fingers holding it sunk right through the crust on top and hit mayo. I was just going to throw it all away but remember it was $17 and I was travelling and funds needed to be spent wisely. So I went back to the shop and waited in line for 20 minutes to ask if I could just get a refund and give the sandwich back. I explained my entire experience and the girl said she couldn’t return it and refund me because she couldn’t resell it. I explained it needs to be thrown away that it was awful and of course she couldn’t resell it?! She said no refunds and offered to scrape everything from the inside, mayo and all into another loaf of bread. Which is absolutely against health code regulations. I finally said well I can’t eat it so I guess you can throw it away and I’ll dispute the charge with my bank. And I went outside and did just that. And I got a notice from my bank today that the business was used my card being present and used and signed as me agreeing to charge therefore it’s valid. That is insane. When do businesses start getting held accountable for wasting our time and money and serving food that shouldn’t be served? So I will be calling my bank again and now for the hassle and pure negligence I’ll also be reporting this to the health board and social media. Because at some point the money isn’t the issue. It’s the pure lack of integrity, and customer service. DO...
Read moreDriving through on our road trip, and wanted a nice fresh sandwich instead of running through fast food. So glad we stopped here! Great service, delicious fresh food, quality ingredients. Our young kiddos liked it too. Great little seating area, and although it is in a gas station and may not look like the most appealing dining option from the outside, it was very clean and well kept, the gas station was also clean with friendly associates as well. Clean restroom too, so ended up being the perfect catch all road trip stop to fuel up, have a good lunch, and pick up some snacks and drinks for the rest of the way. The owner was there, and it really showed how much he cares and puts into his business! It also looked like a regular spot for locals for lunch too as we watched people on duty come in and grab a sandwich to go....
