My family and I have dined here 5-6 times and between breakfast, catfish, and the chicken fried steak it was usually above average but nothing to write home about. On our last trip however our experience was terrible. I asked about the special of the day and the waitress said lunch just ended so they didn't have any specials. My wife and I proceeded to order the roast beef with brown gravy which comes on toast. For the little one we attempted to order chicken nuggets followed by a hot dog but the server said neither one was served at their cafe (it's on the menu). The other 2 children ordered burgers. The menu states that they have soup but when I asked what kind they had she said they only serve soup when it's cold. Within five minutes after ordering, staff was filling the soup warmers and writing the daily special on the dry erase board. FYI it was about 100 degrees outside lol. But anyhow, rather than saying that she didn't know what the soup or special of the day was or that there would be an additional wait for them (whatever the case was) she just said that they had neither. Our meals came and both the roast beef and the toast were badly burned. I understand that with the gravy the burnt roast beef wasn't visually easy to see but I'm not sure why the waitress would even bring the plates to the table when the toast was COMPLETELY black. Needless to say it was terrible. The mashed potatoes were fine and the kids meals seemed ok. The price was more than reasonable for the portion sizes but not the quality. We definitely had the right to complain but did not, rather we just won't return. For me I'd rather drive the extra 7-8 minutes to go to daisy's diner...

We used to look forward to eating here. Now we are done with going here. I don't know if they have a different cook now or ? About this time last year, or it was last spring; we went for breakfast/"brunch" time. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, home fries(which I used love) and bacon.

Fast forward about 1/2 hour later and I was doubled over, almost on the floor with abdominal pain I cannot even describe; almost screaming(literally) out with pain...and we were in a store at the time. It was horrible. I'm guessing my breakfast was just a 'grease fest' . I don't even know what they are cooking in. Old oil? Making eggs in bacon grease? Leftover grease for the home fries? I know I can never eat breakfast there again.

We went again recently. Not for breakfast. Another item I always enjoyed was their Reuben. This time it seems they must have warmed the sauerkraut with the swiss and the reaction was white looking coagulation on the sandwich; not too appetizing. Also the rye bread was soggy-they must have changed brands of rye-you need a sturdy rye for a Reuben. Again, residual abdominal pain.

We are so disappointed; it was our go to place. HOWEVER - Sometimes I go out to Trinity by myself (retiring there in about 4 years) and their colossal pancake is my go to. Pancake and crisp bacon. Yum! I just hope they get their grease issues in control. Oh - another plus, the chicken fried steak...

My daughter and I arrived at approximately 8:30 am. We were going to eat before going to church. I ordered Fish and shrimp plate that was suppose to come with 2 sides and hush puppies. My shrimp was over cooked and I was unable to eat them, the carrots was one of my sides was not cooked enough and they didn't give me the hush puppies but I said nothing.... My daughter ordered French toast with sausage and bacon and homestyle potatoes. All of her food was cold. The French toast was gooey, the bacon was like trying to eat a tough piece of beef jerky. When we spoke to the wait staff about the issue, we ask if we could just order her cheeseburger and fries instead. The wait staff stated they could re-warm her food (which is a health code violation due to contamination) or they will change it for the burger and fries but said we would have to wait for all the other orders to be fulfilled first. By this time, I was almost done. So having my daughter watch me eat was not the nice breakfast I had planned. She ended up not getting anything. The food was poor and the fact that management did not handle the whole situation well at all made it a very unpleasant experience. We will DEFINITELY not...

This is only our second visit here based on the recommendation of a friend. One of those 'diamonds in the rough', or like a secret fishing hole. This very unassuming Cafe can stand toe-to-toe with any big city eatery in my opinion. Family friendly indeed, from the hearty welcome you receive on entering and through-out the dining experience they got it going on. You don't just get one waitress, you get them all. The dining area is immaculate, the tables clean and the food is some of that good. I guarantee, if you leave hungry it's your own dang fault. Prices are reasonable and fair. Order from the menu or take your pick of the daily specials on the buffet. Trinity Cafe is on my short-lists of places to go. Only downside is you best get there early cause they're open for breakfast and lunch only, and parking can fill up quick.
