Leo's Coney Island — Restaurant in Troy

Conveniently located near the corner of 16 mile and John R, this Leo's chain is a welome addition to the community. There is plenty of parking. The inside and clean and roomy with 3 tv's in various locations.

The servers are pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. Our food order was taken on time, served on time and our bill arrived at the right time.

The food left a lot to be desired. Mom's 4 chicken tenders with fries ($10.00) was small and dry. The amount of fries was small but that's ok as they weren't all that good anyway. I normally get breakfast or a coney island at this location (these items are good!) but today I decided to try something different, I ordered lasagna ($10.00). I was hungry so I ate it. It came with a small slice of garlic bread. The lasagna was small in portion, smothered in salty sauce and lacking any noticeable meat. I get it that prices have gone up and it is expensive to run a restaurant but I'm getting tired of paying a high price for low value. Too many cutting corners is going to shoo me back to the kitchen at home, lol.

I called in a carry out order for wings. During the call I asked for all flats multiple times. Instead of all flats I received all drums (as pictured). When I called back I was told by the manager that she was on the phone with the girl who took my order and neither of them heard my request for all flats. If no one heard me ask for ALL anything then why was I given all drums? The manager did nothing to try to rectify my dissatisfaction with my order. When I asked how would we resolve this she said “well what do you want me to do?” As the manager she could have offered to remake my food tonight. She could have also offered to have me come in another day for a replacement. Neither of those options were offered. Instead of good solid customer service she said “there’s no way you have all drums” and sat on the phone in awkward silence without offering a solution. I got the Leos Coney Island delivered from Grubhub on May 17th at 4 in the afternoon. I originally was cat sitting at my sister's boyfriends apartment and decided to have the food delivered to their apartment while I watched the cat for night.

The delivery was on time, Paul (the delivery driver) was fast and got the address and apartment number right. At least it worked out well.

The food was fairly good. The nuggets were fairly good, a little crispy and a teeny tiny bit overcooked, but they tasted delicious. The soup was fresh and tasted delicious. I got a 24 oz Cherry Coke and it was good. I believe the staff from Leos did a good job getting the food ready on time for the delivery driver 😀. I have seen pretty nice reviews of the John R & Big Beaver location.

I will definitely order from this location (for delivery) in the future, when I do my cat sitting...
