I'll start by saying I love Panera and 99% of the time their customer service is flawless, which is why I'm not giving them 1 star. Today the wait was longer than usual and the young lady behind the counter assembling the meals was going as quickly as she could and being super polite and apologetic about the wait. A woman ordered the turkey avacado and didn't get avacado. She asked the young lady and the young lady politely apologized and offered to remake the sandwich. The woman didn't need that she just wanted the avacado. Relieved she didn't have to remake the sandwich the girl went and got the avacado. The woman politely asked for ketchup from a different girl and the girl wasn't sure so she asked her manager who happened to be helping with the orders. The manager said loudly enough for all the waiting customers (about 10) to hear "No, we don't have French fries" rudely and dripping with condescension. The woman who was appalled said to the girl (maybe 15 or 16 years old who obviously understands customer service better than her boss) "what did she say"? Embarrassed, the girl said "Im not sure". When the manager came to the counter the woman said "did you say 'no, we don't have fries'"? The manager curly replied "It was a joke".
Even the high-school students who are learning how to interact with the public and have excellent knew what a condescending comment that was. They were all embarrassed and slightly horrified. Especially when this woman was being so polite after her meal...

My lawyer told me he'd never seen it this bad in 50 years of lawyering, he was useless. They openly tampered with the evidence, read the police reports(which are not evidence) during trial, and manufactured documents. It was amazing and eye opening. The bottom line of what I learned is CAD Capital owns Troy OH and they will move heaven and earth to prevent any lawsuits coming to fruition. I have full (untampered) videofrom criminal trial, which won the criminal trial, but tampered video lost me the civil and the fact that my lawyer gave procedural representation but not meaning representation. Read moreMy wife and I stopped by last night for just a quick cup of coffee and a bagel. I asked for the bagel to be sliced and toasted which is always offered at Panera. I ordered an Americano coffee with room for cream. The bagel was neither sliced nor toasted. I reminded them I would like it toasted. The bagel was then placed in a brown bag over toasted and hard. The coffee was half full. The specialty coffee was close to $3.00-$4.00. I asked to have a full cup of coffee. I watched the employee then add tap water to fill up the cup. The coffee was both luke warm and watered down. I advised the manager, also the cashier, that I would just take the coffee from the self serve station. This coffee was also lukewarm. The manager Cammie was smiling, and with an attitude… asked if I wanted a refund. I told her that I just wanted a hot cup of coffee. I asked her if this is how they serve coffee. Cammie told me she didn’t make the coffee and didn’t know. I told her as the manager she is responsible for her employees. She could care less. I finally accepted her refund for the coffee and left. How do you mess up a coffee and bagel? Poor management and training or the employees just don’t care. I usually don’t write negative reviews but this was ridiculous.
