Los Pitayos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Troy

First of all when they bring the chips and salsa to the table the chips are full-size chips on top of the basket but after you get halfway through the basket all the chips are crushed and very small so therefore you can't use the small chips in the salsa. That tells me that they are very cheap! Never came back to ask us if we wanted another basket of chips or more salsa and never came back to ask us if we want a refill on our water or drinks. We felt basically ignored and unappreciated as a customer and we've been going there for almost 15 years. had to go to the counter to request a box to go and our guest check for the dinner. Our server checked on us once after that he disappeared but was still on duty there. In my opinion after being a 15-year customer this place is going downhill the owner is very arrogant and unappreciative of his customers and very very cheap and his big fancy vehicle he drives is just proof of what is important to him. Sorry to say after 15 years I don't think I'll be back I'll be either going to the one down on Main Street which is La Fiesta or the new one in Tipp City next to the Chinese restaurant. He has lost a loyal 15-year customer and by the way if you order a drink of alcohol from them they are weak as hell and not worth the price you pay! When I ordered my lunch special he didn't ask me if I want beef or chicken and I was served with beef which I do not...

Anytime my wife and I have ever visited this restaurant which it's been about half a dozen times our food comes out completely separate approximately 5 minutes apart and when it does come out it is cool to the touch to lukewarm in the last time we were there the manager was actually arguing with my wife saying that the food is almost blistering hot because it just came out of the oven so my wife had to show him by sticking her fingers into the food that it was not hot at all but continue to argue with their customer. As far as their food quality it's on the lower part of okay I've had worse but I've also had a lot better. Needless to say we will never step foot in that restaurant again even if somebody gave me a gift card I would assume to throw it in the trash because how they treated my wife the dude is lucky I did not just simply punch him in his throat sorry for the rant but here's the other part of it it took so long to get our food and which at that time they were not busy at 3 in the afternoon I had time to drink two large Iced Teas and my wife and I ate three baskets of chips, so if you're not in any kind of a hurry whatsoever to get some mediocre cool to the touch food that isn't that great be my guest enjoy...

Terrible experience! Our server got our orders and drinks then never checked on us again. She checked on other tables but would avoid even looking at our table. Literally, ignoring us. My youngest daughter and I got our food. My husband and oldest daughter waited 15 minutes with no food, no server, no update. I got the servers attention and asked her to check on their food. She rolled her eyes and said, “Yeah” annoyed by me for asking. She came back and said, “The kitchen is slammed. So you’ll get your food within 30 minutes” while smirking. I asked to speak to the manager. I told him how we had been ignored, the server’s terrible attitude/eye rolling, and our missing food. He threw his hands up, shook his head, and said, “The kitchen is slammed” not even acknowledging our issues with the server. We asked for the receipt which the server put on the table and sarcastically said, “God bless you guys.” So needless to say, we won’t be back. We are very understanding when it comes to issues at restaurants but we do expect professionalism, respect, and communication. Not too...
