Great service. Separate waiter for water refills. Multiple people picking up plates. A little slow to get main courses, water refills, and at the end of entree round. We liked the atmosphere. Liked the decor. Older feel. Dim dining atmosphere/vibe.

I want to note that we eat a lot of steaks – filet mignons when we travel. We love trying out different steak restaurants. This all to say that we compare steakhouses from the steak down to the appetizers and sides.

Free bread and butter. Standard sourdough roll bread. A little too chewy/hearty for me. I like a softer roll.

Garden salad with blue cheese - good salad. Fresh ingredients. Tasty blue cheese. Not as good as Ruth Chris. Also, the salad needed to be more bite size. Some of the lettuce was pretty long and had to cut it up.

Lobster bisque- instead of cream base the soup tastes like it is made with tomato base and basically mixed with lobster bisque. Not as good as Ruth Chris. Peppery back end taste. Would not get the bisque again. Tomato and lobster is a weird pairing.

We each got the filet. Prime USDA braveheart 11 oz filet mignon with béarnaise sauce - comes with grilled vegetable medley and the béarnaise sauce on the side in a little cup. The vegetable medley was good. The carrots were cooked very well and we enjoyed those. I got my steak with mashed potatoes with white cheddar and parmesan. Same level as Ruth Chris but possibly better and could be the best we have ever had. It melts in your mouth. Sauce does not go well with the steak so we didn’t use it. Steak is a tad salty but it works. He got the steak with a potato cake. Potato cake was soft but too much of an onion flavor for me and he didn’t much care for the cake either as he didn’t finish it. A nice crust though. He got an extra side with his - creamed spinach with parmesan and bacon crumbles. We were expecting creamed spinach but it is more of a half a casserole in half of it. The cheese crust on the creamed spinach was amazing though.

Crème brulee. It was too shallow is a dish so it is more of a warm ice cream since the whole thing was warm and the custard was not as it should be.

Clover bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and a bourbon caramel sauce. Great for what it is. Just not a fan of it personally for my taste buds but wanted to try something different.

Carrots and steak are 5 stars. Everything else is 4 stars. This place gets 5 stars because of the steak. It is very hard to find awesome steak. Great value for the price as well because it is cheaper than a lot of great steakhouses we have been to for as much food as you get with the steak...

Above and beyond! I booked our reservation for two online through open table. I noted the reservation was for a special occasion to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. On the day of the reservation, knowing the menu to be pricey, I called to inquire if they were able to provide us with menus without prices. (I know my boyfriend all too well and he's a bit thrifty when dining out). They placed me on hold and when he came back on the line he said "We'll make it happen". I was very appreciative of this! When we walked through the door we were greeted by the hostess and additional staff who wished my boyfriend a happy birthday. We'd arrived a little early for our reservation by about 20 minutes. The hostess explained that our server was just seated 2 tables at the same time and offered to seat us at the bar while we waited to be seated. We struck up conversation with a regular, he was quite entertaining. After a drink the hostess walked over to inform us it was time to be seated. She walked us over to a booth tucked away in a quiet area. I was so elated because it was exactly what I wanted, a quiet place with no distractions. They placed the menus on the table and upon opening it took my boyfriend about 5 seconds before he asked "Where are all the prices?" I chuckled because I know prices guide him when dining out. I explained I requested our menus this way so he would choose what he wanted and not guided by how much it would cost me. He ordered the Bone-in Ribeye and I ordered the Filet. Our salads were an excellent precursor to the much anticipated entree. We truly savoured each bite from beginning to end. Our server was attentive yet unobtrusive, professional and personable. He recalled the specials in a way that he almost detoured me to bypass the Filet. I've heard of many other's great experiences at Buckhead's and now I've seen (and tasted) for myself. I highly recommend for solo diners, couples, and business colleague outings. And for parents, this is a place worth hiring a sitter, I would not recommend bringing children under the age of 12, nor infants as they are often unpredictable. This place would make a great date night! Be sure to make a reservation to ensure...

This place has been on my radar and my husband and I decided to make reservations for our one year wedding anniversary. I definitely suggest making reservations about a week in advance to make sure you get a time you want. When we made reservations they asked if we were celebrating anything special and we shared that it was our anniversary. When we arrived the host greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary, a very nice, personal touch! The ambiance is very old school steakhouse feel. Dark wood and moody lighting. People were dressed a little more casual than I was expecting, but this being my first time I wasn’t sure what to expect. My husband wore dark jeans, white button down shirt, sport coat, and boots. This was perfect. Now let’s get to the good stuff! We started off with drinks. My husband got the Buckheads old fashion and I the Belle Isle espresso martini, both delicious!! My husband was impressed with the bourbon selection. The wine list was extensive! We then got the seared scallop appetizer. They were cooked perfectly! Next salads. We both had the Caesar salad. The dressing was light and fresh tasting. The salad was a nice size, not so big that it was going to fill you up before the main course. My husband got the 14oz ribeye with the potato cake and sautéed vegetables. He’s a big steak guy and he thoroughly enjoyed this one. There wasn’t a bite of anything left on his plate. I got the Buckheads steak and crab. It was 3 filet medallions in a vermouth demi glace topped with lump crab and a bernaise sauce. The filet was cooked to perfection and the bernaise sauce was a great complement to the crab. I got the mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. Those mashed potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had! We finished our meal with the very tasty vanilla bean creme brûlée with strawberries. Which happened to be on the house for our anniversary! There was a waiter specifically for water, so our glass was never less than half empty. The attention to detail was something you don’t see just anywhere....

Went here for a celebratory meal on 6-12-21 and they did not disappoint. Service was amazing, food was top notch. The meal was well paced by the waiter, which is a dying art, truly - there was just enough time between courses to savor and look forward to the next. It was a little French hunting lodge as far as the decor, but the wine was better (yes I said it). If your father in law is not vegan, he would probably be comfortable here. The food is simple but the chef proves that even simplicity can be elevated to perfection. Every detail is attended to, from the exact, meticulous grill marks to the mirror-bright silverware. Do you know they have a water manager (I have no idea if this is the right term but it seems like it should be)? It is someone’s job just to watch and make sure your water is always cold and topped off. He did an excellent job by the way and honestly I want a water manager at every restaurant. We had steak (of course), the crab cakes, the creme brûlée, a modest bottle of wine (if you’re looking for an extensive and impressive wine menu, THIS IS THE PLACE, no lie)... not a detail was missed and nothing disappointed. Truly a superb experience.
