Panera Bread — Restaurant in Virginia

I have eaten lunch here at this location at least once or twice a month for the last two years and never had an issue. Today, it was a different story altogether. We ordered two lunches at the drive thru. When I pulled up we were handed a bag that was not our order. The drive thru operator looked very confused when we asked for the second order and we explained that we were missing food. We gave her the wrong order back and she handed us another bag with two orders so we assumed it was correct. We pulled off into the parking lot to eat and realized they had given my spouse the wrong salad. He walked in to exchange it. After standing in line for a long time he asked to speak to the Manager so that he could get the order corrected, the cashier said “No, sorry, you can’t talk to them they are busy”. My husband said that’s ok I’ll wait. A Manager just happened to walk by and my husband asked him if he could get the correct salad. The Manager was very congenial, apologized for all of the errors and gave us the correct salad. We were eating and I find hair in my sandwich and unbelievably my husband finds a completely different hair type in his salad. We could not finish lunch, we just threw it away. We order from this Panera often for delivery. It is always speedy and delicious. I don't think I've ever ordered something from here that I didn't like.

Edit: I used the Chrome extension Honey for a coupon. Our food arrived completely cold, and the frozen item was entirely melted. We tried to call the restaurant but cannot wait on hold listening to ring no answer forever. It seems like Panera does not like big coupons.

We ordered: Bread bowl mac & cheese: The bowl was cold and hard, mac was congealed like it has been sitting a few days.

Half Napa almond chicken salad sandwich: the sandwich was 95% leaf lettuce and bread. There was almost no actual chicken salad on it at all.

Half Greek salad: This was about the only thing that was right.

Frozen caramel coffee: Completely melted into slush.

1 Everything bagel, sliced and toasted: It was sliced and toasted alright. Probably a day prior. Cold toasted bagel? Really?

The best part is that we live right across the way from this Panera. We watched the delivery driver go up Parham almost to Broad St, then was 10 minutes late with the order.

I normally do not have an issue with this restaurant. I have ordered from them plenty of times with fixable issues, but this time is different. I normally order the pick two (soup and sandwich), but I decided to order a different sandwich. I ordered no feta cheese, but the sandwich was covered with it. My order was received around 10:42am and I started calling about 3mins after to see if I could catch the delivery driver, but no luck. I called the restaurant multiple times and pushed the button to speak with a manager. It rang and then went busy, thus hanging up on me. It continued to do that no matter what option I chose. It is now 11:18am and I still haven't been able to reach anyone at this location. I feel that this issue could have been an easy fix, but since no one is answering, I have to go up there on my break. Communication and accessibility (via phone) is definitely lacking.

UPDATE: I called around 12:38pm and was able to speak with Brittany (supervisor). She was completely kind, professional and she handled my issue with such poise!...
