i’d seen this place while passing by and wondered if it was still in business. my sister served several of their dishes at a family get together and i really enjoyed it. butter chicken, paneer, chicken tikka masala, and a few others. in a location that appears to have only a few parking spaces is this indian restaurant with a minimalist feel. atmosphere, well it’s not shiny and new with beautiful decor. however the people running the business are friendly & best of all The Food Is Delicious. you buy a drink from a refrigerator of water and soda bottles. your tableware is styrofoam and plastic located on a shelf in the dining area. unfortunately their buffet;.which is still in the room, has been closed presumably since the early covid days. back to the most important part. the samosas we had for appetizers were very tasty and larger than i’ve had at other places. we also ordered the naan. i’m used to something resembling a toasted pita of thin bread. this was much better. i’m not sure exactly what was added, but there was a hint of something to it that was very good. i ordered chicken tikka masala. i was delivered an entire plate of saffron rice and a bowl of my dish. it was the best meal i can recall. i was so full i only made it through have the bowl and wasn’t eating much of the ri e. despite feeling full, o couldn’t stop taking little bites. other ordered spinach paneer and another paneer dish of some sort. we shared in similar experiences. i know i’ll be back soon. if you like indian food and you’re near tucker (or not) do yourself a favor...
Read moreThe food was okay for the prices. You receive a good portion of food, but you can get better quality Indian food 15 minutes away in Decatur. If you're craving Indian food and in a hurry this is a good place to go. It's in no way bad food, it's just okay. The chicken tikka kabob had good flavor but the chicken was dry and my husband mentioned the chicken in his biryani seemed old. I had the paneer tikka masala and the paneer seemed fresh but the curry wasn't as flavorful as it could be. Keep in mind this is a buffet restaurant so they'll make big batches, keep heated throughout the day, and then reheat in the evening (hence why it is served so quickly). Also, the floors were sticky, the soda cooler wasn't well maintained with empty shelves, bottles falling over, and the mango lassi pushed all the way in the back, and the menus were dirty. If it'd been cleaner and better maintained I'd probably given four stars and tried again, but it really turned me off...
Read moreThe best part is that the food is very flavorful and generally is prepared well and comes out hot. But it’s pricy. Most items are $17.99!! I had the lamb curry and the vegetable korma and the butter chicken and the veggie Samosa and all tasted really good. Cost me $70!! I say generally prepared well because the lamb curry was extremely oily! The red oil settled on top in a thick layer and I had to pour it off in a can when I got home because it was probably a quarter inch of oil. The biggest downside is they took 35 minutes to prepare my order after I submitted it online. This is awful when you have a time Limit punch. The man who met me at the cash register when I came in told me he had a new guy who was slow. And that’s for sure. Also, inside the restaurant is really nothing great. A couple of booths and a few tables. The buffet machinery is set up there, but there’s nothing in it. Doesn’t look like they use it now even though it’s signed on...
