The sandwich was small, and lobster was minimal. Not flavorful with the pre-packaged butter or sauce. More concern over the sterile, impersonal environment. No seating to eat a sloppy sandwich. Take it home or go park somewhere. I went through the drive-thru where you are greeted by no one. It's not unusual for a drive-thru, but this feels different as you drive through the concrete tunnel. But there was a sign saying the lobster was bought off the dock in Maine. This encouraged no confidence in quality nor freshness as I sat in a 90° driveway in Tucson, Arizona. I ordered our meals and was corrected twice on how to order with relation to warmth and sauce. But don't ask questions either. That seems to be a no-no. So, do your research ahead of time and be prepared. I pulled forward to find our two beverages already sitting on the shelf edge. I maneuvered my truck so not to knock them off with my mirrors. As soon as I did, I was handed two paper bags with no "thank you" or "kiss my a**." Either would have been appreciative at this point. And, no napkins in the bag. Just a dispenser on the shelf with a sign that reads "take only what you need." Not wasting time or money here in the future. Texas Roadhouse is right next door. For the same price point you get good food, a comfy seat and...
Read moreOk. So I was disappointed after hearing the hype and dealing with the large crowd of people. I used the walk-up window as the car line in the drive-through was jammed and not moving.
Let me also say that I have been a big fan of their original concept salad and go and visit very regularly.
The order system was a little but difficult to navigate, especially feeling the pressure to order with a large number of people gathering behind me.
Once I ordered, the order came quickly, which was a total surprise.
I was only able to try one item so far, but I will definitely be back to try others.
The disappointment lies in that the warm lobster roll, which is not fishy at all, was devoid of taste, even with the butter.
I thought it would have been seasoned with old bay or something, and perhaps the butter could have been a garlic butter, or the roll could have been offered with garlic butter to enhance taste.
One again, not fishy but basically no taste. So much potential. The lobster was quality lobster, but it didn't hit a home run as between the roll and lobster and butter. It just became a soggy lump.
Definitely want to try their other offerings and see if they have more flavor.
Oh, the lemonade was great, and the fries were...
Read moreThe service was fine. We got just about everything on the menu to try it out. The lobster and crab were both average. Tasted like it was flash frozen and thawed, but neither had a fishy taste. They both had lots of bits of shell in it which is less of an issue if not eaten as a sandwich.
The bread was fairly low quality, and we all decided just to remove the meat from the buns.
I found it odd that all the sandwiches were basically the same, plain. If it was something that was supposed to come with sauce, it came in a package. You don't order a specific type of sandwich with sauce and expect a little bag of it. Seems to me that it's to make their job easier.
The shrimp was pretty good, but again, the shrimp sandwich with (I forget, some kind of sweet spicy sauce) came with a little bag that didn't go to far. The sauce was good, though.
Very underwhelming experience. I would rather spend less and buy lobster or crab and cook it myself.
They seem to have a canned response telling people to go to a site when they leave a bad review. The last thing I care about for a company that provides low quality food is whether they get informed about it. These reviews are to warn potential customers not to have high...
