Baggin's Gourmet Sandwiches — Restaurant in Tucson

Baggins is a Tucson classic. Been around FOREVER. If only their prices were locked in time, like their use of styrofoam?!

I try to make it over there whenever I’m in town. The unforgettable with potato salad and spiced tea is my go-to! The bread sticks to the roof of your mouth and the ingredients are usually fresh. This time the potato salad was pretty darn salty, taking away from the usual tang. Overall this place is a lunch sack staple. I will say though that the prices are INSANE for what you get- half a sandwich, a scoop of salad and a drink~ almost $18 after tax. Also, no bathroom. You have to walk across a parking lot to another restaurant. Awkwardly. I usually eat at a different location. I wouldn’t say this one should be the one you visit. Much better experience elsewhere. Also, if you sign up for their text message club for discounted sandwiches, which come on, we all need with a hefty double-digit price tag. You can’t input the codes in order ahead, online. I'm giving a 2 star rating due to the timeliness. I've ordered from this location multiple times and every time I order there's always an issue with my delivery meaning the website will say 85 minutes and send you an email of the times it will be delivered but that is not the case. The whole reason i ordered almost 2 hours prior to my lunch is because i know it takes them forever to deliver. I also always order through the online page rather than a 3rd party just because i rather support local. Today again my lunch has been late even though i ordered with plenty of time before my lunch break called spoke with steven stated sorry there's construction which i get called 30 mins later spoke with another person im assuming its the manager and same thing construction oh and they took the wrong order out sorry we will through in a free cake . I visited here and they had those poor employees come out every few minutes to ask me if they could give me a cookie and refill my FULL drink. I can not believe that after they even told management they had just done so, management told them to do it again. Everyone kept looking at the employees weird for having to constantly ask. It is rude to interrupt conversations and studying students. Do better management!!! Let people eat in peace, we can get our own refills or why would there be a machine in the lobby. I will make sure to tell all my clients and friends to avoid this place if they want to eat.
