Very weird that the manager was openly complaining about a new hire requesting halloween off. Aside from that the bagels here are consistently less than the other Tucson locations. Idk if they add too much salt or what but it's just not right. So anyways, we order our food and the manager had no sense of urgency. Typically they start both sandwiches at the same time, toast at the same time etc to speed it up, instead she sliced and toasted my bagel, and stood at the toaster the entire time, she could have started my fiances bagel in that time. Then she disappeared after starting his bagel, the next two customers already had their food while we waited for a simple ham, egg, and cheese bagel. There was a man standing next to me for awhile and all he wanted was a receipt, the cashier rudely said "uhhhh okay" before printing it. Then I ordered an iced tea and she gave me an iced coffee. Overall very weird, none of the employees were engaged, or even tried to pretend to be friendly. I much prefer Dena at the location on broadway/alvernon, or the entire team at Broadway/wilmot all of those people know true customer service, very friendly and the bagels taste great. Maybe send these people over there to learn a thing or too.

Read moreToday, about 9:45 AM, I came in with a friend to order a breakfast sandwich. My friend ordered a sandwich. I was about to, as the two workers at the front counter, one male, and one female, had on masks and gloves. Then, another worker, a tall girl with long pony tail, came out from the back room, no gloves, no mask, leaned over the bagels, and, while breathing all over them, added more bagels to the baskets. I was horrified. I asked her, "Aren't you required to wear masks here?" She said, "Yes we are, but I'm not working with a customer right now." I said, "But you're breathing all over the food." I left it at that. A young, blonde man working in the back room, visible through the window, also wore no gloves and no mask, and was working with the food and machinery. Eventually, the girl put on a mask to help a customer, but took it off again. I guess I just don't understand the policy there. I can definitely tell you it stopped me from ordering a sandwich, coffee, and anything to carry home. It did not stop my friend. That's fine. To each her/his own, but I don't want to take my chances at a restaurant where everyone isn't wearing a mask and gloves to protect me. I wear one to protect others. Please follow company policy...

We asked 3 times to put cream cheese on one sandwich, asked for one with a plain bagel, one with an everything bagel, and one with an onion bagel. They would not let us watch to verify they were correct and shooed us to the cash register. Every single sandwich ordered was incorrect. Paid over $20 for 3 sandwiches all made incorrectly. Call to speak to a manager and sit on hold for over 10 minutes without an answer. Call back and was hung up on right after they picked up the phone. I understand being busy but it doesn’t make up for inability to make correct orders, answer the phone, and charging people without letting them watch the bagels be made. I won’t be back again.
