Hostess/caahier seemed nice and well mannered; yet, I asked for some drinks in restaurant waiting area. She responder that it is not possible I was told, go to the bar. My mother is 93, celebrating her birth. Both mother and wife are disabled...so we sat in a booth in the bar(west side) . Waiting and no service. So I inquired with the same hostess. She responded that we would not get service to the booth, Never served there, besides she didn't have a waitress for that area. So I offered to walk 2 paces and order from the bar. I was told we could not drink there specifically. So I asked if could get a place and restaurant and have drinks served. The hostess said they didn't serve alcohol in the restaurant. That surprised me, since the license is for the whole place. So again I inquired as to where could we wait and have drink in the meantime or until we got a table or booth in the restaurant ...and that both my mother and wife required to sit. I was motioned and told by hostess to the bar's west side, since the bar on this side was full. We walked to that end, with only high stools and no low chairs/tables, nor sitting capacity existed for disabled/ elderly customers. ..To which, I again inquired nicely, and told her of the situation...her response was that it's our choice, like it or not that's the way it is. I told her your restaurant or you presently are unable and unwilling to accomodate; that they are required to do so. She wouldn't budge and got irritated at me. She went to make some calls, we finally got sitting in the restaurant. • Service is quite mediocre at best. • The order was incomplete and wrong, by kitchen I was told. • Food is quite mediocre at best, for the price they charge. I'll...
Read moreThe chips were not salted and the table salsa was watery and flavorless. The beers we ordered were flat and slightly above room temperature (Pacific and Dos Equis lager on draft). We ordered the fish tacos, tortilla soup, and the shrimp rancheros dinner (I don't think I got that right but you get the idea). The tortilla soup was not warm, had no flavor, and was comprised mostly of tortilla strips and a bland broth (but at $10 is about double the price of a far superior El Pollo loco tortilla soup). The fish tacos were obviously microwaved, the breading and the fish was mushy and chewy, and again had very little flavor and no seasoning (just a pile of dry slaw and pico on top). The shrimp and french fries were equally as bad in the same ways. Neither of the dishes were served hot. Unfortunately, the service was as bad as the food. Our server was not friendly and didn't seem to express much enthusiasm. Our plates were removed, our beer glasses were empty, but we still waited almost a half hour for the bill. The waiter didn't seem to be particularly interested in us. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience and probably one of the worst dining experiences I've had in several years. I cannot fathom how this restaurant has the rating it does and will never come back. My advice: if you're on the fence and not sure, heed my warning and save your money. The overall sense I got from watching the staff was that...
Read moreLazy cooks and greedy waitresses. I put in an order and the waitress comes back and rudely tells me the cooks refuses to make it because the dish was too complicated and they were really busy (place was dead). The only reason I came here was for this dish, so the people I was dining with changed their orders to to-go since they knew I’d rather get a pickup order from somewhere else. They hadn’t brought chips and salsa yet so we asked if we could get them to-go and the waitress very snidely told us that it would be $4. They don’t charge you when you dine-in and they bring you tons of refills of it, but you have to pay $4 for a tiny bag of chips and tiny container of salsa. She had the nerve to add it on the bill and I told her to take it off because we never said Yes to it. They were already in their way with my order as we were paying and surprise, there was no chips and salsa in the bag. I went to Mariscos Chihuahua where the kind staff and competent chefs were happy to make my Chicharrones de Pescado. The owners are supposedly related but I guess these guys chose not to inherit customer service skills. They should close their doors if they hate customers this much. I’ve spent thousands (yes, really) here since they opened and I’ve always ordered this same dish. I will never return unless the owners reply to this review or call me with a formal and...
