The server who doubled as bartender seemed extremely incompetent as she couldn’t answer my questions regarding the food (first time eating Jamaican!) then upon handing me my “Jamaican Long Island” served it with a smile and came back minutes later to sheepishly ask how the drink was. It was bad, by the way. Finally our food arrived and the portions were good size but you guys, the food was baaaarely lukewarm. Like they’d had everything pre-cooked, threw some on a plate and then microwaved it, except they didn’t bother to make it hot, at all. I felt bad for the other patrons who came in after us, one of them saying, “I called a little bit ago and tried placing a to-go order”, she was literally cut off with “oh the phone stopped ringing before I could get it”, she never made an attempt to get that phone. Poor service, poor quality of food and if you order from here through a delivery service and think “my food just needs reheated since it was transported”, etc, I am willing to put money on the fact that they’re just a poorly run restaurant and they served/sent it off to you that way. Find another Jamaican place, especially if you’re trying for the first time. This place will...

I was very excited to go here but unfortunately, was extremely disappointed with the experience. First, I want to say the waiter was really nice. I was acknowledged the moment I walked in and my order was taken. I asked for 3 beef patties to go, which the menu stated were $3 each. The total came to $14 so I was obviously overcharged. There was also a lack of pepper sauce. Again, disappointing because it’s a condiment staple of Jamaican food.

The next one is on me because I should have checked the food before I got home. When I bit into the pattie, I instantly knew I’d not be finishing them. It was supposed to be beef but what I got was a gelatinous, grey mass of goo that vaguely tasted of beef. The only thing I can think is they tried to save money by adding a lot of filler (ie breadcrumbs ) to the meat. The flavour was mostly there, but the texture was not. I tried, but couldn’t even finish it. I hate to say this, but the ones from Dollar Tree taste better than these ones did. I threw the other two away. Despite the service, I won’t be going back here. I hate that I was overcharged, but the horrible food just made...

I want to start with I love Cee Dee. I have been eating this food since Chicago bar days . Waiting faithfully for my plate outside and always getting the same thing , the oxtail plate . A few weeks ago I called to make an order for pick up and was told it would be an hour and a half . I accepted . Being that I love the oxtails I agreed to wait . My man ordered the oxtail and goat plate . After waiting and making it to the restaurant, the food still wasn’t ready and when getting back to our destination and eating , I was very disappointed. The oxtails had no gravy , instead water and was not as tender , which tells you they were rush cooked , the festival was over cooked and not the same flavor that I love , there was no plantains as they said they weren’t ripe and for the type of money that we spent , and what it cost , this was unacceptable. If the food isn’t ready and still needs to be prepared , don’t try to make the money . You have to be honest with your customers . I know the taste of this food for so many years so it sticks out like a sore thumb when it’s not right . Don’t think I will be...

Buyer Beware. Menu price NOT updated/correct. Without warning, was charged a Much higher amount. Had the large goat plate and the jerk chicken & oxtail combo plate (pics included). While the food was decent, minus the lack of spice in the jerk chicken, the prices were far too high AND inaccurate. According to the menu, we should have paid ~$45+tax for both plates. In the end, we were charged $68 in total. When I asked about the price, our waiter/the chef admitted the prices on the menu were not accurate, "I should probably update those prices, uh?". It's somewhat ok that the prices weren't correct on the menu, but what's completely inexcusable is not letting their customer know about the adjusted price. I'm sure the owner will say I'm lying, and defend their business. But regardless, charging $35+ for a plate (picture included) of mediocre jerk chicken and admittedly tasty oxtail is still ridiculous. I'll never go back. I hope they change their ways and others can continue to enjoy Jamaican food.

My 1st visit to Ceedee's was Sun, 5/19/2024. Overall I thought the food good. The portions were plentiful except for the cabbage and carrots. I think it could have been a little more. I had the curry chicken and oxtail combo w/steamed veggies and festival bread. The oxtails were very good the curry chicken could have been more flavorful, it was a bit bland for me. Now that I have something to compare it to, I would choose Ceedee over D's Island on Ft Lowell. Ceedee's is a lot more reasonably priced over D's Island and the portions are bigger. I'm going to try Kingston Kitchen next and do another comparison. I took an update picture of the menu as well as my order. The only reason I didn't give Ceedee's 5 stars is because of the bland curry chicken and small steam veggie portion.

Best Jamaican spot in Tucson. Great service. Nice open space restaurant. Happy this hit the craving I needed for my Carribean food. Delicious jerk chicken. I only got the chicken but the plates normally come with rice and peas. Steamed cabbage and festivals or sweet plantains. 10/10 flavor and texture. Great service and wonderful camaraderie between the staff. Quaint and clean restaurant. They have alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic drinks like ginger beer in different flavors like pineapple. Large selection of beers including modelo. Family run business. Formerly known as Kingston.
