I attached pictures to show the location. I had a little bit of difficulty finding this bakery. Google didn’t specify that it was located in the mercado. Had I known that it would have been much easier to find. That’s was my only issue. Other then that the sweet bread was fresh and flaky. It was amazing. I had heard excellent things about La Estrella Bakery so I decided to visit to find out what all the hype was about. They certainly didn’t let me down. The ladies working were professional and once I told them I hadn’t been there before… we’re kind enough to explain what they had and the price system. I walked out with a box full of their yummy goodies! Thank you La Estrella Bakery for showing me a great experience & keeping me...

Absolutely the best. Everything is fresh and delicious! Service at the 12th Avenue location was superb. We ordered 9 dozen minis for my mother's celebration of life but also got some goodies to take back to the hotel to try. Best marranitos and conchas I have had. They were fast, friendly, and very professional. When we picked up the order the next day at the other location everything was perfect and so delicious. Only complaint, and it's minor, is that the girl working when we picked up at the Congress location was unprofessional both on the phone and in person. (July 6th, 3 to 4 pm). We will definitely come back when we visit Tucson again. Thank you for helping to make my mother's...

Must stop by if you are downtown tucson. Just less than 5 mins from downtown.

Edit (previously rated a 5): I try to stop by all my 5 star rated places more than once. I previously enjoyed the glazed donut, but when i tried it the 4th and 5th time, it was too dense and had a strong dough smell. I will give the food a 3 star instead of original 5. End of edit.

It is a good intro to local bakery. When u are here, after eating your bakery, take a walk around the neighborhood and also there is a good hike around the corner by the hospital... google it. You need the hike after...

Y’all need to try La Estrella Bakery next time you’re in Tucson!! @laestrella_tucson is a family owned bakery that has been here for over 30 years and have definitely perfected their craft. One thing I love about them is how involved they are in the community - they often hold tours for local schools so they can share their Mexican culture! And they have seriously some of the best pastries, try the donuts when you visit ❤️‍🔥 #mexicanbakery #tucson #tucsonlocal #pastries #eatlocalaz #explorearizona

This bakery was recommended to us during our visit to Tucson and so glad we went. It’s in a beautiful courtyard market that includes restaurants, boutiques, and a coffee shop. Pastries are delicious and not dried out at all (which I am picky about). The gal at the counter was nice, helpful made recommendations since we were unfamiliar with most Mexican pastries. We got concha’s, donuts, empanadas, and a few other things she just put I our bag for us. We also bought a bag of homemade tortillas that were still warm. All of this AND a bottled coffee drink from the fridge for only $20. Go here!
