I've only been here for breakfast and it is a 10/10. You have to stand in line to order at the window and then they give you a number to put on your table and when your food/drinks are ready they bring it out to you. For what it's worth, when I went there on a Tuesday around 10am there was basically no line, but I could see how the line could get out of hand on a weekend or a super popular time. The seating area is outside in an open courtyard which is really quite lovely. I had the prickly pear agua fresca to drink which was the most insane vibrant pink color and absolutely delicious and refreshing. To eat, I had the chilaquiles (one of my favorite breakfast dishes) and it was fantastic. The salsa had so much flavor and a good amount of spice without being too spicy. The chilaquiles were cooked perfectly, still a little crisp but also a bit al dente--the right Goldilocks texture :) The beans that it came with were also really well seasoned and tasty and the tiny potatoes were the perfect complement to balance it all out. I came here on a whim. It wasn't a place originally on my radar but I saw it had good reviews and just gave it a shot and omg I'm so glad I did. It really was one of my favorite meals in Tucson!

Super popular spot dishing up some super great tacos. Seis has a double black-belt in taco-fu, and you'll enjoy every minute of losing the MMA taco cage match to them. Awes yeah. Get on those tacos and ride 'em cowboy! Or cowgirl! Albert Camus once wrote that if you want to feel the oppressiveness of time passing, all you need to do is wait in line for a movie that you don't want to see. Or something like that. Anyway. You'll definitely wait in line here, and it's likely to take a good while. You'll be aware. But instead of that terrible Cats movie with Judi Dench and Dumbledore at the end, you'll get amazing taco treats instead. They're worth the wait. Order at the window, sit at your assigned table in the lovely courtyard, and pretty soon it'll be taco time. Taco! Time! Oh, and if you're there in the morning, then breakfast tacos are totally on the menu. Pro tip: Skip the chips and salsa and go for the nachos instead. It's all that. Second pro tip: grab a beer or margarita from Augstin. It's just across the courtyard. It'll make your taco experience that much better.

You have to love the environment here at Seis. Situated within the San Augustin Mercado located on Congress just west of I-10 Freeway. The building was designed to mimic some of old historic architecture in the Old Pueblo and the courtyard is the best part of eating at Seis. Keep in mind it is outside dining. You order your food from the counter and find a table in the courtyard and they will come find you. As far as the food goes it is excellent for the Menu! The Menu is simple with a Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner Menu and you can't go wrong with any of the items. My favorite is the Taquito Plate! I've seen comments on the pricey menu but I feel the prices are very reasonable. The only issue I have with eating at Seis is during the Summer Months and those of you from Tucson probably know why. Not too comfortable eating in weather over 105 degrees. So go early or in the evening in the Summer or take it to go. Go grab some Breakfast or Lunch at Seis and be prepared to wait in line during rush hour.....it's worth the wait! Recommend :) Please like the review after viewing! :)

So disappointed. I expected to wait in line at Seis Kitchen. I was warned. I did not expect to finally get to the window and be told that the kitchen was backed up so I would need to wait 5 minutes to place my order; all new orders were being placed on hold... huh? Five minutes turned to 10 and 10 turned to 15. No one revisited me to apologize for the longer wait than expected. The group of people who had placed their order right before me had received all of their food and I still did not get to place my order. I just waited. While I waited, the woman who had been taking orders was now running food. A few staff members stood around. I finally placed my order (my drinks were comped because I complained about my wait, not proactively). When I walked to the patio to find my husband at our table, I couldn't help but notice many tables were covered with empty plates that had not been bused and dirty napkins kept tables from rocking.

I went to talk to the manager at the bar per the cashier's recommendation, she too seemed frustrated. I noticed numerous plates with half eaten food all over the counter that had not been brought to the kitchen (enter the many flies). When I gave my feedback to the manager, he interrupted me with a brief apology about the kitchen being backed up, not listening to suggestions or feedback that there was a problem with the work flow. He acted like it was normal for restaurants to ignore their customers while they wait. When I got my food, my order was incorrect and they were out of mild salsa (on a Saturday morning). I was done complaining... I didn't want to wait any longer!

I had been warned about the wait for such amazing food... but not for such poor service. It is unfortunate, since it has such a great vibe and good food. But with unnecessary wait because staff isn't sure what to do and dirty plates all about, I doubt I...

My family came to Tucson from Sonora in the 1860’s. I know, love and appreciate great Mexican food. I have eaten it in Tucson all my life. I also appreciate great service. Poor customer service can kill a restaurant. It does not matter how amazing the food is, if the service is bad, they won’t make it. Today we ordered two lunches and it took forever for one to arrive. The second never arrived. We inquired as to why our never arrived and we were told it was accidentally delivered to the wrong table. By now the first meal was eaten and we were still waiting for the second one. It still never arrived. We inquired again and were told by Gavin that they refunded that meal. We asked for a receipt showing the refund and Gavin became enraged. Gavin never bothered to let us know the meal was never coming. The Gavin, who was the cashier who took our order then became snippy with us because he didn’t like that we were not happy that our meal never arrived with no explanation. We were never refunded the full amount we paid for what ended up being half a lunch. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! On the way out, customers who heard the Gavin’s vicious attitude and nasty demeanor let us know that the restaurant was 100% wrong in their service (lack thereof) to us and his attitude. Even the table who received our order accidentally was furious at how Having treated us. They were as disturbed by him as we were. You need decent employees. We used to be regular...

We have eaten avocado tacos at Seis for about the last 4 years. Seis is a prime example of shrinkflation, the avocado tacos have decreased in size by half over the last year, and gone up in price of course. They still taste amazing, but we just had some for lunch today and my husband, who is not a big eater, had to come home and eat more because he was still hungry! I used to be stuffed eating just 2, but now 3 is almost enough. We've also had issues here in the past year with waiting in line, especially during their weird kitchen turn over time when we got to the front of the line right before lunch time and the staff was really unhelpful with what we should do while we waited with about 50 very hungry people chomping at the bit behind us. Then the next time we went we waited in line for 25 minutes before getting to the counter (ordering has always been slow) only to find out they were out of avocado and fish tacos. Wish they had put out a sign or something! We had friends in town and promptly left to eat somewhere else. Thank goodness we could grab some empanadas at La Estrella on the way so they could get something delicious for low blood sugar. Staff is almost always great. Sad about the portion size. Probably won't come here as much anymore, we'll leave it for...
