The owner is unbelievably sensitive and unwilling to listen to what you as the customer would like. Saw her twice. The second time I went in, I left a little too blonde for my liking. While I believe we were doing some damage control due to way too many highlights in the past, I felt like the first time I went, I left a little too brown. This was ok Because I knew that we are trying to soften my hair out of too many highlights. Thanku Anna Jo for that! I came in today, in hopes to get a mixture of blonde and brown :) I showed her some pictures of what I thought would look better on me, (including pictures of myself with color that I feel suited me and my face). This woman just kept talking in circles around how my hair looked when she met me & her insistence of me "not listening". Crazy. I've never been talked to by a hairstylist like this. I went in there thinking you're supposed to tell your hairstylist what you want since they cannot read your mind. What's unsettling, is that I went in there with a plan to word my needs very carefully as to not hurt her feelings or make her think she hadn't done a good job the last two times. I was very shocked at her reaction and just sat there, looking at her, listening to her.. and wondering what her employee standing next to her must be thinking. I've had two stylists at Faun and love them both! Anna Jo was my go-to stylist the last few years and she is excellent. I love her approach to embracing your natural hair. She also gave me tips to strengthen my hair and worked with me on my hair goals of growing it long. Another stylist, Amanda, was my bridal makeup artist and hair stylist and is also excellent. Her work speaks for herself, and she is also very sweet and professional. Finally, I love the beautiful space they've created at the salon, as well as the precious salon dog, Agnes. Okay. Listen. I have curly hair. Never once in my entire hair life has ANYONE dry cut my hair. Ever. Not only was Anna Jo just the absolute coolest down to Earth person ever, but she legit knows what she is doing. My hair does not even need to be styled when I get out of the shower. It just naturally looks great all of the time now. My Husband said that it looks like my hair is alive. It is so healthy and beautiful.
