We read so many good reviews and we really wanted to try this place. (We aren't from Tuscon) But they service was horrendous. I'm so disappointed.
2 stars because the coffee was decent. Just decent. Tasted a bit burnt, but overall flavors were alright. We had strawberry cream iced lattes, not terrible. But the reason I am stopping at two stars is because we received astonishingly terrible service. I don't know her name, but she has glasses with bangs and a short brown cut- the RUDEST. She asked if we were ready- we needed more time. I then proceeded to ask her a question, to which she looked down and scrolled through her phone, not paying attention at all. She finally looked up after an awkward silence in which she didn't bother with her actual job, and impatiently asked "what do you want"
I'm blown away. After we hesitantly ordered, we sat down and hung out for a minute. Drinks were on the window, and she just started at us while we were talking amongst ourselves, then finally rudely said "your drinks are in the window" she was just so impatient and rude, like she didn't want to be there.
If you don't like your job don't work there. Good God. Not the best start to our...
Read moreok WOW! we came here for a little coffee and breakfast and were absolutely blown away by the eggs benedict we got. on the menu it comes with pork, but the kitchen was super nice and let us switch that out for avocado spread since we don't eat meat.
this eggs benny.. i can't stop thinking about it. the egg was perfectly poached, the hollandaise sauce had flavor that wouldn't QUIT, the avocado spread worked perfectly with the flavor of the poblano pepper, and the cheese biscuit was absolute perfection! the hash browns were honestly within the top 5 of hash browns i've ever had in my life, the crisp on top compared with the softness under was so delicious.
we also got cold brew with vanilla and lavender and it was amazing! some cold brews are too bitter for me, but this one was the perfect flavor and strength. loved this place, and all of the super friendly employees! will definitely be...
Read moreDecibel is my favorite outdoor coffee hangout in the Tucson area. It's located in the Annex - a cluster of re-purposed rusted shipping containers. Very cool vibe. Relaxed seating under palo verde trees in the courtyard. Now... the coffee. Nick is one of the owners and roasters. And he's very good at what he does. The coffee is some of the best I've tasted in the southwest. I've been buying fresh-roasted beans from Decibel for a few years now. And if you like cold brew - you'll love Decibel's! It is outstanding! The best cold brew I've ever had. Period. And I've tried everything, from Sbucks skunk-swill to some damn good cold brew up in Portland. If you're looking for 'great' coffee and super-friendly service outdoors, go to Decibel. If it's raining or cold (a rarity in Tucson), then I head to Cartel Coffee Roasters where I can sit inside. But otherwise, Decibel is my fav...
