Arrived and heard card key system down and we could either cancel reservations or call and have someone meet us at hotel door whenever we wanted entry and they would let us in. That person never asked for an ID or receipt, ever, a big security no no. Rock shop inside bldg is fun but kind of a cluttered mess inside and out, bad curb appeal. Rooms were likely very recently redone but totally lacked any type of quality control clean up at all. A trained eye and punch list needs done! Incredible need for quality control on new remodeling work. We were told our unworking bathroom electrical would be fixed after first morning. It was not. We asked the guy tonight if plug in was fixed before we we called to have door unlocked.. He said he didn't know and would check and call us back but never did. We asked for extra towel this morning and was told it would be brought to the room by housekeeping, and it wasn't. Room totally lacked detail cleanup with paint chips apparently after paint scraping and wood shavings all over rear balcony, which apparently we couldn't access as door may have been painted closed. Bathroom had paint over hinges, tiles etc. that could have been scraped off either by construction crew or housekeeping who instead of doing so left a very sloppy looking place. Caulking and silicon all over floor and tub from fairly recently applied product needs cleaned up. Two different sizes baseboards in bathroom sort of cobbled together behind the toilet. No drinking cups or mugs offered for drinking water. Door to exterior missing a lot of weather stripping (see pic with daylight coming thru). Likely fresh current water damage on bathroom wall and it appears perhaps the reason our electrical plug didn't work there (We reset the GFI plug in repeatedly and apparently maintenance couldn't fix nor did office communicate on the issue). Breakfast was ample, but very poorly run and not kept tidy. Gal with blue smock punches waste basket trash down with her hands and then works on bread and pastry without washing hands. Gloves? No one cleaned a table once and the person that would restock the breakfast area only on request would rush back to be one of three people behind the front desk, thou throughout the entire time a sign was up on that counter, that they had to look around, that said something like they were would be right back as they were away helping someone else (see last pic) Everyone that checked out was greeted while we were there but the the chatty stuff usually included loud conversation about deposit and all the front desk person did to work on credit. Nice to be friendly but way too chatty, again three people usually behind the counter. Wifi, didn't require a password, probably not...
Read moreAll the previous negative reviews in recent days are correct, down to management straight-up lying to my face and to Hotels.com about the check-in conditions.
I arrived at 11 p.m. after a late flight and stood outside the motel at the side of the highway, for check-in at a tiny window, for more than five minutes because this area isn't safe enough for the motel to keep its lobby open. No problem; I knew what I was getting, or so I thought.
After running my credit card for a deposit and photographing my ID, the staff member informed me their key card machine doesn't work and she would have to physically unlock the door for me. This meant I couldn't leave my room for food or anything else. Notably, she did not tell me this condition was serious enough that I had the option to cancel my room for a full refund. She just kept telling me it would be fine. I locked the room door, which is fully exposed directly to the highway intersection, and threw the slide bolt over it.
When I woke up this morning at 7 a.m., I discovered my door had been tampered with in the night and had signs of not being fully closed any longer. The only thing that kept it mostly closed was the slide bolt.
Of much less importance, it's worth noting that the WiFi doesn't work and the room number listed on my room phone doesn't correspond to my room number (phone says 112, room is 155).
I contacted Hotels.com/Expedia with my full experience and had the customer service representative reach out on my behalf. The day manager, Juanita, claimed there were no notes about my complaint either from myself or from Hotels.com, that I had been offered the chance to cancel and did not take it, and that there was nobody by the name of "Lisa" who worked there. I told them I specifically got that name from the customer service representative, and they told me her name was "Anna." After a little more inquiry, turns out they meant her full name is "Annalisa"...
Absolutely do not stay here. To be clear, I'm not complaining about the state of the room or anything else like that; the part that's unacceptable to me is to have the bare modicum of safety ignored, including not having working keys and doors that stay locked.
Google isn't allowing me to attach photos and videos but I will be reporting this to the franchise...
Read moreSoo.. I was homeless and this place was affordable but they have many flaws. First off the front office lady the bigger lady is rude and should not be working customer service. Got mad at us because even though we kept extending the room she still wanted us to pay deposit when we extended and we questioned her each time because the other lady was able to transfer our deposit but for some reason this bigger lady didn’t know her job. The only one who understood her job and was very attentive was the skinny woman with the braces. Super sweet went above and beyond on her job. Also stated In last minute we had to pay for our dog. They never had that option online for us to add it into the price so when we questioned the policy she got angry and told us she will no longer be letting us extend our stay and red listed us even though we started questioning due to lack of understanding and it seems like our prices on the hotel weren’t adding up to us. Also this place has bed bugs I got bit in room 154. Be aware of that and also in room 154 there was toilet water dripping from the sealing and destroying the roof and it stunk really bad but they expected us to pay extra deposit? They are lazy deposits are meant if things are destroyed they are taking deposits if they have to clean the room extra when there job is to keep the room ready to go. There Janitors are lazy and complain a lot when they have to clean people sheets towels and so on and so forth when even if the sheet wasn’t dirty you still have to clean them and sanitize them after each stay, not for this hotel. They don’t do anything unless they have to. I was happy to stay here because of the price but after the horrible customer service I received from the big woman in the front I’m happy I am no longer giving you my hard earned...
