Pink Moon Mercantile — Local services in Tucson

Pink Moon markets their home goods to college students, but everything seems to be awkwardly priced. Some things are weirdly expensive while others are priced reasonably. For some, this is no problem but for a broke college kid like myself, I usually put things back down after seeing the price. For example, when you try to buy a plant you don't realize that the plant and decorative pot are sold separately until they tell you at the register. Another problem that I found is that not everything has a price label so you sometimes have to embarrassingly ask the price at the register. This makes it difficult to shop comfortably. I do wish that Pink Moon would offer a few cheaper options because not all college students are buying $78 Knitted dolls.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and were so excited to check out this store based on their CUTE window display. When we went to the store the next morning, we walked in and thought it was odd that we were never greeted. We were the only people in the store and the employee didn’t even make eye contact with us, or ask if we needed any help. We had planned on buying the kids some Jellycats but something just felt odd and unusual, so we left. It just seemed strange for a trendy, cute store across from a college campus to have poor customer service. I still gave them 3 stars because the store is so cute. Ironically, their social media post says to “come say hi”...

A delightful little shop! The sales associate was very helpful and answered several questions I had promptly when I stopped by the other day to purchase gifts for family and friends before I leave Tucson. While I left very happy with my purchase (it even came to less than I thought it would!), I struggled a bit to carry everything I wanted to purchase around the store as I browsed. Some cute shopping baskets or even trays would make it much easier to shop for multiple items at once, especially if the store is busy and the checkout counter is in use.
