A co-worker of mine has been telling me great things about this restaurant. So on a Thursday night I decided to try. We originally were just going for drinks. But it turned into a great time, the atmosphere is very scale county chic. On this visit, we were in the bar, which consists of high top tables and big screen tvs, making it an excellent place to watch the game. The bartender was very attentive and quickly brought us the menus. One thing I found very interesting that is not mentioned is that this restaurant is farm to table fresh with an emphasis on low suger and low inflammatory foods. They insist they want the food to be very healthy, but make you feel good. For my drink, I had had the jalapeno fresca which was spicy yet strong. My second drink was the raspberry cider which was fairy tasty without a strong hops flavor. Fresh fried potato chips are delivered hot to your table after you order. I ordered that Halibut Agua Chiles which reminded me of a coastal ceviche. The flavor profile was excellent. The rest of the table ordered different items. There was an order of the surf and turf, which consisted of a thick cut piece of pork belly with a lightly grilled shrimp. My friend ordered the short rib brasied birria taco on freashy made blue corn tortillas. These were all appetizers, but they were very shareable plates. Once our meals were completed, we all decided to get the smore for dessert which I highly recommend. The smore was very creamy and the brownie cookie smothered with chocolate is something dreams are made of. The evening started to get late and and cool evening had me chilly. But surprisingly, the bartender was able to provide me with a blanket which kept the night going a bit longer. Overall thought this was an amazing place and I would definitely be back especially knowing that they serve brunch on Sundays.

I'll give it 4 stars in expectation they'll soon live up to it. Being as they've only been open 4 days it's tough to be too critical. Concept is good, but execution isn't nearly there. 1hr between drinks, unacceptable. Chorizo burger was charred to a crisp, flavorless and served cold. Ribeye was awful (seriously) wasnt even seared. Boiled perhaps?. Short rib was ok, but like everything we tried on the menu, no flavor or depth, and a desperate lack of SALT. Overall food was quite bland and under seasoned but hopefully once staff settles in, it will get better. Desserts were hit or miss. Tiramisu was the winner, Maccaron is a no go, rice pudding had the right texture but no flavor at all except for a light dusting of cinnamon on top(3 of 4 people at the table had no interest beyond the 1st bite). Price for 4 people was $430 so you're looking at around $100/hd. For that type of money, this place has a LOT of work to do. Bus staff was on point, water glasses were continuously filled, which was needed waiting 1hr for drinks. Waitress was very friendly and personable, even if continually M.I.A. We'll give it some time, but we'll try again. Restaurant is beautiful, menu concept is great. I'm hoping they dial in the flavor and service over time as Tulare desperately needs the Restaurant they aspire to be. Happy to have them in town and reluctant to be this critical, but thought they should hear some real feedback.

"Disappointment" This place was suggested to us as we have two individuals within our family that have gluten and nut allergies so were were excited about going. We were a large party of 11 which they did accommodate. We arrived on time and they seated us promptly. then it was 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there with a "we'll be right with you". Then at 25 minutes the waitress who came over an took our drink order and answer a few questions about the menu. We placed our order then 20 minutes later the waitress came by to inform us that they were out of one of the items that had been ordered so our guest changed to a burger. Well then at an hour and a half after sitting the waitress and a gentleman I will assume was the manger got in a spat next to the table about who is going to tell us that they were out of buns for the burgers. The waitress could tell we were unhappy already. Food finally showed up Steaks were like a piece of roast dressed up like a steak not at all what I expected for the price we were paying, and all but one was overcooked. One of the salads that were ordered was basically grapefruit on a plate with some lettuce on top very odd salad. The individual who has nut allergies had asked the waitress specific questions to make sure her and her partner did not get anything with nuts in it, WERE SERED RICE WITH ALMONDS IN IT. The Manager knew there were issues at the table, the waitress knew there were issues at the table and when it was time to pay the bill the waitress apologized and commented about the manger who went and hid in the kitchen until we left. Unfortunately if they don't fix their management and their kitchen this will be a one time visit for most people which wont...
