Farmer Boys — Restaurant in Tulare

Love this place for there salads, but unfortunately two weeks ago I went as a regular once a week customer with a co-worker and had a bad experience while eating my chicken strips and fries. I asked for Ranch dressing of which I dipped my chicken into and while eating it, I found a long blonde hair in it. I was so grossed out and chose not to finish my food obviously. Approached a Manager and Co-worker at the front counter to make them aware of the incident, all I got of feedback from them was "Oh sorry about that"!. I thought to myself, Really?. That's all I get after being a loyal once a week customer. The least I could have received was: Apologize for the situation and at least say, " I will make sure to inform upper management and/or handle the situation by saying that employees will be made aware of the incident in taking better precautions when working and handling food". I was pretty disappointed that managers are poorly educated in their roles in the restaurant business as I've been at that end of the spectrum and would have definitely not handled the situation as such. I'm not asking for free food or anything other than when you're an employee of a restaurant, always keep in mind that "The Customer is King", if it weren't for the customers, we wouldn't have our jobs and furthermore poor customer service on their behalf. I asked for my California BLT sandwich to come with sourdough bread instead of the regular white bread it came with. When my order came it was on the regular white toasted bread. I told the server it was supposed to be on sourdough bread, she took it back and the manager said it was sourdough bread. I have ordered the sandwich previously with sourdough bread and this was not it. The taste of sourdough is different and you can tell immediately when you try it. It's very disappointing to not have your order completed the way you specified but when you inform them of their error & they lie about it to your face angers me. The restaurant was slow to begin with its not like they were in a rush to get orders out & made the mistake. Went here on a Saturday morning. Parking was easy to find. Not too busy.

You order your food at the counter, and they bring it over to you. I've tried their burgers here a long time ago, and I've really enjoyed them, but I tried one of their breakfast items.

I ordered a Sourdough Chicken Avocado with a side of hash browns and coffee. The hash browns were pretty uninspiring. The presentation almost looked as though they were frozen then cooked. The sandwich was pretty decent. The chicken really didn't have much flavor to it, and the piece was pretty small that it left gaps on the sandwich. However the ingredients work well in the sandwich.

Overall I wasn't too impressed with my food. I was with a party of 7, and their food looked okay, as well. I'll probably stick to their burgers and fries on my next trip. The ladies working were very nice and attentive on refilling...
