I've been to Sweet Bee a few times now. I've tried out a few different things, and I can honestly say that they are a very good coffee shop with lots of potential. I think they especially shine in their drinks (specifically coffee and smoothies). However, there are few things to note about the food. I got a sausage biscuit that wasnt very warm, not cold, just not as warm as it should be. Besides it being not warm enough for my liking, it was very good. I also got a cinnamon roll once, and it just had way too much frosting, to the point where I had to scrape it off. My cinnamon roll also wasn't warm, I don't know if thats normal or not, but I think that they should be, even if it's just microwaved or something. They also gave me a 10% off coupon for like a 5-10 minute wait, which was very nice considering I didn't even notice the wait. Overall, I definitely thinks it's a place that I will be going back to for drinks. I'll also try the food again soon, as I don't think it was the norm, and they will improve. I'll update the post when I try...
Read moreI wish I had taken photos but did not. I stopped by today and got the turkey lunch wrap and a bowl of their loaded potato soup. On the menu it said the wrap came with lettuce, mayo, mustard, pickles, and cheese along with your choice of ham or turkey. I got mine with no mustard or pickles. I was running late back to work so I didn’t check it before driving off, so that’s my fault. Once I opened it, it had TONS of shredded cheese, no mayo, and the lettuce was brown around all edges of the shreds, some pieces even being mushy. The potato soup was good but nothing extraordinary. I got a berry smoothie from here one time that was excellent, but am just really disappointed by the food. I ate a few bites of the wrap after picking off the bad lettuce and the tortilla tasted like a refrigerator and my stomach started to turn, it was also dry because it didn’t have mayo. Wouldn’t recommend for what I got. The service is always very nice though. This place has lots of potential and I really hope they’ll improve the way they make...
Read moreStopped by for the first time this morning & ordered a coffee for my wife & an iced coffee for myself. The coffees were pretty good, good enough that I could see myself trying their coffee again. For food we ordered a biscuit with gravy smothering (an additional $2.00) & a bacon egg & cheese biscuit, also with gravy smothering, & a cinnamon roll. Note the biscuits are NOT served warm. It's the gravy that is meant to warm your biscuit! Additionally, my bacon egg & cheese biscuit was originally served without the gravy smothering I ordered. When they handed me the biscuit in heat retention wrapping it was a cold biscuit. The bacon was cold, pre-cooked & chilled & simply laid on the biscuit. The cheese slice was right out of the cooler, not even a hint of melting. The egg & biscuit were also cold. Who serves food in this way???
Update: Appreciate the near immediate response from management/ownership to confirm my experience was not the norm or acceptable. This attention would make me feel comfortable enough to...
