Overall, unimpressed. The food in the picture is beautiful. But, eating it was not as enjoyable as I had hoped for the price. Had the menu told me there was guacamole with cilantro and jalapenos on it, I would have asked for it to be removed or replaced. Instead, the menu says avocado. Not a big difference except when you cannot eat peppers, especially raw! The salad has toppings, but most of it seemed to be the bottom of a mixed greens bag. The taste was okay, but not worth knowing I'm going to be horribly sick today. They offer a dog friendly patio, but since they don't serve the tables you have to leave your dog outside while you wait on yourself inside the restaurant. The patio heaters work, though the patio itself is not swept. The inside of the dog bowls offered are cleaned, but the outside is not. You have to serve yourself. Literally. From napkins and salt and pepper on the table to your own silverware and condiments served out of communal bottles... They bring the food, but don't ask if you need anything else; it's clearly your job. Had to clean up my own table and throw trash away as well. Now, I know that plenty of restaurants do this. However, they don't have a prime spot on Brookside with prices to match. With my own labor accounted for, I would expect fast food prices since that's the experience they offer. For the money, some of their neighbors offer more diversified menues and table service. As a first time experience, it all seems quite lazy. They seem too lax for the money and I was annoyed throughout my meal.

Such a cute and casual cafe/ coffee shop. I got the oatmeal, which at the time was banana and date flavored. I'm not sure if that's the standard, but the lady taking my order made it sound like a temporary flavor. If so, I'd be curious to know how often it changes, because it was really good! I added nuts as a topping which worked really well with that particular flavor (banana bread oatmeal, anyone???). The inside is smaller, but it didn't feel like there wasn't enough space. I got there at a good time though, because just before 11am (on a Saturday) people really started coming in and a line formed. Also, the lady taking orders was VERY friendly, really knew the menu, and just seemed happy to be there and to talk to customers, which is always nice to find. I also appreciated some of the little details I noticed, like tying the sliverware and napkin together with a little piece of white yarn. So cute!!

Stopped in on a Sunday around 11am with a friend. You order food from a counter, then find a table to eat at. At this time of day most tables were pretty full, though the table staff were super friendly, while at the same time keeping people from lingering too long at a table. Before I could finish my first cup of coffee, we were seated outside; shortly there-after our food arrived. My friend grabbed a bowl of Matzo Ball Soup, which he claimed was the best he has had in the state, and a Denver Omelet. I went with a 'El Segundo' Burrito (off the daily specials menu) and it was fantastic. As we finished our meal, we enjoyed a last cup of coffee, then exited to allow another group to occupy it. I enjoyed the streamlined dining area, and could see myself revisiting just to try more of the menu.

If you live in Oklahoma and you wondered like me, "where the hell are the people who supposedly voted for Hillary?" They are here. I'm surprised my car wasn't violated with a barrage of Coexist and "I'm with her" stickers.

Food: overpriced, mediocre at best, both dishes ordered came out cold. Staff: rude when asked to remake. Cleanliness: poor. Someone trotted a dog in and the millennial staff immediately began petting it....but all failed to wash their hands before returning to food prep. When confronted about the health violation, the staff became intolerably rude.

Hands down the ABSOLUTE WORST breakfast experience I've ever had. If you want a good breakfast on Brookside, go to Brookside by Day where the focus is actually on the food, not the snotty 20 something kids who need a safe space if you don't like...
