Been coming to this place for years. Hate to shame them, but management has obviously changed and if this is your $13 vegetarian option I think you deserve some shaming 🤣 it was kind of laughable really. my mom ordered the vegetarian burrito and it wasn’t even folded and just thrown on a plate ? Taco Bell could have done better seriously. absolutely no effort into the presentation, or even the taste, it literally just tasted like canned black beans and a lukewarm tortilla (see attached photo). It looked like something I’d make in the middle of the night when I’m half awake and rummaging through the fridge 😭 definitely not something you’d get from a nice place on Brookside for brunch! I ordered the advertised vegetarian pancakes and scrambled eggs and it came with a pile of bacon on top of it. Pancakes tasted like they were microwaved and eggs were greasy. Service was not great but they were also pretty busy. Never got refills on coffee and sat without silverware for several minutes after getting our food. We were charged for things we didn’t order and it took too long to wave anyone down so we just left (and overpaid 🫠) I understand people make mistakes but we’ve been coming here for years and there’s an obvious decrease in the quality and service. used to be one of the best vegetarian friendly places in town and it’s really gone downhill with whoever just took ownership of it. Hate leaving bad reviews but yall kind of earned...

They blocked me from my honest reviews on Facebook so I decided to inform people on here. I was a regular of this restaurant for a long time until just recently when there were an abundance of changes made under the new ownership. Over time of coming here I have built great relationships with those that have worked here for years and they are what made this restaurant the gem that it truly was. All of the staff went above and beyond to create the atmosphere most of us knew as cafe ole. Their food was fresh and tasty and the service immaculate. Until the ownership and management changed…. I am BEYOND disappointed by how they treated those who worked at this beloved place for so long. I have firsthand experience of seeing the manager speak to such employees terribly!!!! The food has changed a lot & not for the better!!! This is no longer the cafe ole we all know and love, and I for one will never be back to give this place business. They ran out all of the old employees and have it on very record that the new owner and management have made it their mission to get rid of all the incredible staff that was here before the new owners. If you are or were a regular of cafe ole, the next time you go in take a look around and I guarantee all you see are new faces & you’ll know this is nothing but the truth. Very disappointed and you lost a very loyal customer who frequented this restaurant as a...

Pretty sure cafe ole deleted my last review, so here it is again. It sucks! I usually had good experiences but the latest one I had was just terrible and i havent wanted to go back since. So first off, we got seated and the host gave us no silverware, we had to ask for some when our food came. Not really a big deal though. We got chips and salsa, and the chips looked like they had been beaten like it owed someone money. It was just a bunch of crumbs. There wasnt a single full triangle all the chips were broken into tiny pieces, we had to ask for a new basket. Worst part comes from the main entree that I got though. It was absolutely terrible. I forgot what exactly I ordered since its been a while since my experience, I think it was some sort of chicken and rice meal. My chicken was great, I loved it, but the rice was absolutely terrible. Extremely undercooked, I had so many hard pieces of rice, it was like eating pebbles. Oh and the best part? I had not one, not two, but THREE pieces of hair in my rice. Are you kidding me?? Honestly the only good part of my experience, besides the chicken, was our waiter, she was great and really friendly. But christ dude, the food sucked. In my original review I put 3 stars, since I had mostly good experiences, but since you guys want to delete my review, its going...

Hi I’m Chase. Let me temper my review by saying this place was a gem in Tulsa. The local ownership & unique southwestern / New Mexican food stood above the riff-raff. Shout out to the blue corn tortilla enchilada!! First time back in a while (now under new ownership) and it was such a disappointment. Food was: cold, late, incorrect. When I order grilled fresh vegetables, I’m surprised to see rice (photo below.) When my wife orders a Mexican pizza; she enjoys it served warm. Cafe Olé needs a Gordon Ramsey “Kitchen Nightmares” episode. @GordonRamsey plz help. I only ask a small finders fee for the episode. The wait staff was mostly great... It’s unfortunate the kitchen couldn’t back them up.

The space is... upscale eclectic and I absolutely love the vibes! The staff are professional and friendly. I enjoyed the short wait for seating due to a great conversation. Next time I visit, I want to sit in the covered outdoors area and I'll try lunch, not breakfast. The pancake was fluffy and the bacon, crispy. The eggs were seasoned just right! The potatoes, however, will not be included on my next visit. I expected crispy, chunky potatoes and received a dish similar to my mom's home-style potatoes and onions mixture. As I stated before, I will be back, despite my potato preference, lol. You should visit as well!
