The morning started out, me and my wife just ran by this donut shop at 47th and Harvard to grab some donuts on our early morning stoner journey. As we trecked through the streets in our little Honda, we pulled up and hastily walked inside as we collected ourselves at the entrance. We were greeted by a wonderful woman who patiently and calmly helped us with our order. We grabbed a Cajun pie, some donut holes, chocolate donuts, a few glaze and some blueberry cake donuts. I had never had the Cajun pie and when we got our order total being only 8 dollars?!?! Our little stoner brains couldn't comprehend how such delicious treats could be so low in cost. I asked for an extra chocolate donut and eagerly suggested she keep all the change as we made our departure out the store and back to the Little Honda That Could.
As we made our way back to our residence, I snuck my sausage shaped fingers deep into the bag of donut holes so I could grab a few just to see what we had gotten ourselves into. So soft, yet lightly crispy, airy, sweet and absolutely delicious. Whoever made these donut holes is ridiculous, master chef in the back, I see you working the dough, I'm the witness you know what mean? Onto the taste though.
We arrived at our home and thrusted ourselves through the door and kicked off our shoes, sat down and gave it all a try. Now everyone has had daylight donuts, but every one of them is slightly different. Something about the consistency of how these donuts were prepared just blew my fried clouded mind. The Cajun pie? I don't even know where to begin on how delicious this little calzone shaped delicacy was. Bacon, onion, Cajun seasoning, mozzarella cheese? I applaud whoever came up with that one. Absolutely genius. I could continue, but I'm currently still eating the donuts.
These people were very kind and will definitely continue to receive my business. I got yalls back if you need anything too. Let me get a daylight donuts t-shirt so I can rep the set. We will...
Read moreSo far I've read negative reviews regarding the sausage rolls and one product was dry. Oh, And another one crying about them not wearing masks.
This family is amazing. They know my daughter's name and ask how she's doing every time we come in. The quality of their donuts is superior to that of other places. I believe I've been in one time when I saw one of them did not have a mask on (as she was in her way to grab it) and the other did and quite frankly there are times when I'm not able to wear a mask when I need to as well.
These times are difficult for everyone and these are the times we need to practice being as considerate as possible to others. Perhaps there is one quality control issue with their rolls, however, try being thankful the service is even there to begin with before you start complaining.
Our family appreciates your shop. We're also happy you take Mondays off to spend time with your family too! Thank you for being a part of our unique community neighborhood and for offering a service our kids enjoy and look forward to with eager...
Read moreI have patronized this establishment for the last 7-8 years. Always quality customer service from the owners and staff with longer years of service. Recently, I experienced poor customer service from the young lady at the counter. Unfortunately, I will no longer patronize this establishment due to how this person decided to enforce their $5 minimum purchase policy. My regular purchase usually totals $4.11. I am never forced to buy another item inorder to reach the $5 minimum. After spending many years in training and orgainizational development, it is your front line people that are the face of your business. They will either keep you coming back or not. I will miss my Jimmy Dean sausage roll and...
